"I understand that this may be strange, but I remember what life used to be like before you came here. Ryuko lived with the Mankanshokus and loved them. Ragyo was killed. Satsuki was happy with her friends who stuck with her." The handsome man said.
"That pretty much sums up the whole series of Kill La Kill alright." Mikoto said.
"I have tried to speak with them, but they always try to kill me, I believe it has something to do with Ragyo." He continued.
"Wait, aren't you supposed to be dead?" Mikoto asked.
"It seems that an alternate reality has been made, where the Life Fiber procedure on Ryuko had been a success right away, Lady Ragyo was proud, so proud, she divorced me. But, even before that, she made me make a version of Senketsu, unable to speak or communicate, but she gave him to Satsuki, while Ryuko got Jenketsu." Isshin sighed. "Since Ragyo had Ryuko, she felt no need for me to be murdered, therefore, I am alive, I also never needed to have any physical changes."
"I'm so sorry." Mikoto said.
Isshin smiled at the group of espers. "Don't be sorry, I was able to see my daughters again."
"Yeah, but what if they get their memories back, and they remember what happened with you and them?" Mikoto asked.
"He already asked me to handle that situation when it comes time." Misaki said, interrupting the conversation.
Isshin nodded. "It will be hard, but I will manage. After all, everything is made in the universe for only a certain amount of time, before it disappears or is destroyed. It's a fact, no one can defy that."
Mikoto remained silent as she thought about how Ryuko would feel if she, no, when she got her memories back.
"I heard that Satsuki smuggled a DVD into this dimension when she came back?" Isshin asked, breaking through Mikoto's thoughts. She nodded. "Hmmm. If we can find that, it could be a trigger and set off her memories."
"That sounds like a great idea!" Mikoto said enthusiastically. "But, where is it."
"I feel as though that would be an answer that she could get from me." A masculine voice said from behind the group, causing Mikoto to pull a coin from her pocket.
Their little group turned around to find Gamagori standing behind them in a ridiculously revealing outfit, causing Mikoto to burst out laughing.
"I was ordered into Lady Satsuki's chambers, and found a mysterious shelf with many movies, they were all covered in dust and were all in their original packaging." Gamagori mumbled, blushing from Mikoto's laughter.
"But how to get into Honnouji without being noticed..." Isshin muttered. After a few minutes, he pointed up his finger like a light bulb had just turned on. "Mikoto~! You're wearing a uniform, and you look flat as a board! You could pass easily!"
Mikoto sent a bolt of lightning into Isshin Matoi, shouting, "I'm not flat! I'm still growing!"
Misaki chuckled. "Yeah, like a blueberry pancake." The remark also got Misaki electrocuted.
"Who the hell else wants to make a comment!?" Mikoto shouted, drawing a few strange stares from the other Nudist Beach members.
Isshin stood up from the blast. "Yep. You'll fit right in with a bunch of hormonal teens. I'll also send Satén and Uiharu with you."
The two girls groaned in protest behind Mikoto, causing a red spark to jump off her bangs. The two quickly changed their tones and sounded much more revved up for the mission.
"Mikoto, may I have a word with you?" Isshin asked, motioning away from the group.
"Erm. Ok." Mikoto said, following the older man.
He walked to the edge of the platform, moving so that Mikoto could follow close behind. So close, that when he stopped, she ran into his back.
"I need to tell you about what is wrong with those marks on your arms and your electrical discharge." Isshin said seriously. "While our time line had changed, yours did not. That Life Fiber inside of you is directly from Ryuko, meaning that you two are connected. But, that is not what I'm talking about. Gensei put a thread inside of you. It was a procedure Ragyo and I had ruled out because it was too risky and could make the subject go insane. The Fiber will slowly take over your being, it is something that could have been stopped, but with so much time passing, it seems too late."
Mikoto stared at her arms, wondering if what she was feeling now, was what Ryuko had been feeling with the black tattoo around her neck. "Wait. What about the black line around Ryuko's neck that she had gotten?"
"Even when I tell you something that will be a great danger to you, you still think about others." Isshin continued. "Our time line change went so far back, she never had gotten it. But, your situation, Mikoto. It greatly boosts your power, but the more you use it, the more those lines will appear, until you yourself are a Kamui."
Mikoto shook her head. "I intend to use this to my advantage to help Ryuko. No matter what happens!"
Isshin sighed. "You seem just like my daughter."
Mikoto smiled. "Ryuko changes people. Even if the person didn't need to change. That's what makes her worth saving."
(Sorry I took so long, I have so much to do. And I'm sorry for all of the dialogue!)
