Loki's mischievous ambitions started to grow to strong for Odin's comfort. To tie Loki down and keep him from wreaking havoc, he arranged a marriage between him and the princess of Alfheim, the goddess of life.

After a couple of hours, both yours and Loki's outfits were completed. He promptly paid and ignored Ila's refusal to accept said payments.
Loki reluctantly acted as your guide through the village and back to the palace as you scanned the surrounding forest for any stalkers.
"Faeries are dangerous but I feel as if your acting too paranoid." Loki told you skeptically as he held the back entrance open for you.
"And I feel as if your treating this like some kind of joke." You retorted.
"I'm concerned just not paranoid. We have guards for a reason," he replied calmly.
"Okay, what do you know about faerie magic?" You asked him once you were back inside his quarters.
"Faerie magic is similar to ours, thats not what bothered me. Faeries are the problem. They're sneaky and manipulative and highly ambitious," he explained, "they have been known to overthrow entire kingdoms."
"Right and you're not paranoid because?" You responded.
"Asgard is too strong and we only saw one pixie asshole," he reminded you.
"Right Asgard is strong yet Frost Giants broke in a couple of years ago," you quipped.
"That one was actually my fault," he admitted.
"Oh..honestly I love this ongoing competition of who can do worse shit." You joked to lighten the tension.
"You're not going to win, darling," he told you playfully.
"See that is where you are wrong, sir." You responded.
"I am never wrong," he laughed. You chuckled and took your suit from his hands. You hung it on the bathroom door and did a quick glance around the room. Your eyes passed over the balcony entrance.
"Oh yeah!" You exclaimed ran over to the door. Sitting on the easel was your painting from a few nights prior. The canvas looked great; which was surprising since you had painted with little light.
"Where do you want to hang that?" Loki asked.
"Not sure, I might take it back to Alfheim," you whispered.
"Got a secret lover there?" He asked jokingly.
"Nope," you responded shortly. Back on Alfheim in the royal cemetery, your mother was buried next to Ava. That trip Frigga suggested might come sooner then you had hoped. Deep down you were scared to go back a face their graves because to you, it was accepting that they could never come back.
Once dead life cannot be restored. Even as the goddess of life if you tried, you'd bring back zombies. Mere shells of the people they once were. They would know, as well. They would know that they didn't belong amongst the living. Not anymore. You didn't want to accept that fact but you had to eventually. In order to move on, you had to.
"Two more hours till the party, Cinderella." He informed you.
"You've read Cinderella?" You questioned in disbelief.
"I've read all the Grimms tales. It was an elective in school," he replied. You hummed in response and plucked the canvas off of the ancient easel.

"Is it ok if I shape-shift, the dress makes me feel odd.." Loki called from the bathroom.
"I don't think that's very fair," you replied.
"I don't know, I just feel...dysphoric," he sighed.
"Hmm, what do you mean?" You asked.
"Maybe I want to present as a girl tonight," Loki replied nervously.
"Okay, then do that. If it makes you comfortable." You replied. Loki stepped out of the bathroom and cleared her throat. You turned your head to see Loki, but as a female standing a few feet away from you. She looked pretty much the same. Her black hair met her shoulders and her green eyes glimmered. She was still tall but she had softer features all around.
"You look beautiful," you assured her before going back to doing your makeup.
"Y-you're not disturbed?" She tilted her head.
"No, why would I be?" You quizzed.
"I just shifted my gender," she replied.
"Okay, are you a man?" You asked.
"N-no? Well sometimes," she responded.
"Okay, so then why would I be disturbed?" You pressed.
"I don't know, many people don't accept me being..fluid? Yeah that sounds right gender-fluid," she replied.
"Of course I accept you, I just want you to be comfortable." You replied happily.
