Leo
Let's get this straight. Leo was not a Leo. He was a Virgo, and that was that. He was minding his own business when he spotted Wilder and Kalyani climbing into Arlo Daye's bedroom. He'd spent his whole life trying not to attract attention, just to have that all launched across a football field the moment he stepped into Fir Hills.
Feeling it might be rude to barge into a random girl's house, he decided to leave and continue minding his own business. But what if Wilder was getting murdered or something? He could wait, he supposed.
Around fifteen minutes later, the three hopped out the window and began frantically climbing down the tree.
He jogged over. "Hey. What's going on?"
"There's no time to explain, Aria's in trouble!" Arlo snapped. She stormed down the street, Kalyani at her heels.
So, Leo followed them the same way he'd followed people his whole life. He had just began to miss Evelyn when Wilder stepped back to walk with him, slinging an arm around his shoulders.
"Why's she so angry?" Leo asked.
"We got a text from Aria begging Kalyani to come home. They just had a pretty big fight, so we're assuming it's serious. On the flip side of things, Roxanne Wesner is a murderer who accepted help from an inhuman being to kill her family. Since one of her siblings escaped, she wants to kill Sarah Wesner- who's probably alive and innocent- in his place. Honestly, I wasn't about to believe the demonic part but I found an interview of a guy who said he saw a huge, looming figure and also this weird grainy tape with said figure on it. That's about it," Wilder said cheerfully.
"That is so fucked" Leo blinked. "Inhuman, you said?"
"Yeah, like a demon or something. Honestly, the tape scared the shit out of me, but I'm not admitting that to anyone else."
Leo bit back a laugh. At least there was one thing he could predict in the midst of this chaos.
Their walking turned into a jog, then a run as Kalyani and Arlo picked up their pace. Kalyani's house loomed over them, seeming much less homely than the last time Leo had seen it.
He noticed one thing straightaway. All the lights were off.
"Aria?" called Kalyani almost before she opened the door. "Aria!"
There was no response. Everyone stood, frozen. Leo took one look at the girl's face and forced himself to recover. He couldn't let someone disappear on them! "Come on, guys. We need to look for her." And he took the lead into the house of someone he barely knew.
The first few things that came to sight was the sofa, a foreboding staircase, and cool toned walls. Seattle Grey, if he remembered correctly from his mom's hours of palette matching. "Where's Aria's room?"
"Upstairs. Third door to the right."
They charged up the stairs as diplomatically as possible, and Leo knocked on the third door. He didn't want to intrude if something personal was going on.
"Leo, there's no time to be a gentleman! Just open the door!" Arlo huffed.
Leo gulped and twisted the door handle open. He really hadn't signed up for this. Maybe he should keep minding his own business in the future.
