Grace felt numb. She had lost her baby and she felt numb. She knew it was to do with the stress that Max put her through. She knew it was Max cheating on her. How it had gotten to her. She didn't realise how much she wanted her baby until it was gone.

She knew how sad and alone that she felt. She hated it. All she wanted was her baby back. But she couldn't. It was gone. There was nothing she could do about it.

Grace knew she blamed Max and his cheating for it. For all the stress. Grace had no idea how much she wanted her baby before it was gone. And she felt sad.

Grace heard a knock at the door. She walked to it. Opening the door, Grace smiled as she saw Simon with Lily. Simon looked to her and smiled. "Are you sure you're okay? I mean, Charley and I can have her a few more days until you're feeling better," Simon said.

Grace smiled. "I'm okay. I missed her. And she's a distraction. Thanks anyway," she said.

Simon nodded. He smiled. "I think you should know.  Max is sitting across the street watching you. If you want, you can come and stay with us for a bit."

"I'll be okay. Thanks Simon," Grace said.

Thankful she had one baby daddy she could trust.

Grace walked out of her house. She walked down the street and saw Max's car. She looked to him and frowned. "I told you to go Max. What are you doing here?" She asked.

Max looked to her and sighed. "Please Grace. We lost a baby. I mean we have to talk about it," Max said.

Grace rolled her eyes. "No. We don't. Look our baby is gone. And you have to deal with it. Besides I'm the one who lost it. You were too busy screwing someone else. It makes no sense. I gave you all the sex you wanted. I answered  my phone to you. Besides I hate you. This is your fault. If you didn't cheat on me, the stress wouldn't have gotten too much and I would still be pregnant with my baby. But now I guess we have no connection. You can go and live your life. And let me get on with my life," Grace said.

"Grace please. I love you. It was a mistake," he told her.

Grace rolled her eyes. "What? Your dick mistakenly ended up in another woman? Oh please. I see you for what you are. And I don't like it. I hate you Max. And nothing will change that," Grace said as she walked off.

Grace sat in the house with Lily. She knew she was trying to be strong after the miscarriage. But she knew she was finding it hard. She knew she had to be strong for Lily. Lily needed her.

But Grace knew that things were far from okay with her and Max. She knew that she was going to do all that she could to make him pay for causing her to lose her baby.

But how far would she go to get justice?
