Grace woke in bed next to Lilly. She had been unwell with a cold and had ended up in bed with Grace and Max. Max walked into the bedroom and smiled. "Hey. How's things?" He asked.

"Well madam is sleeping still so I'm guessing she's still feeling unwell. But other than that, she's okay," Grace replied. She pulled Max close to her and kissed her. "I wish so many times that she was yours. You're more like a dad to her."

Max smiled. "Well I will always be here for you both. I love you Grace."

"I love you too."

Grace and Max went into work. Simon walked over. "Where's Lilly?" He asked.

"She's with my mum who's come to stay for a bit. She isn't very well and I don't want to risk her making anyone else sick," Grace said.

Simon nodded. "Well can I see her?"

"I'll let you know."

***
Grace and Charley were standing in the staffroom. Charley smiled. "How's Lilly doing?" She asked.

"She's a little better now. Still got a cold and she's rundown but she's on the mend. My mum is looking after her for the day," Grace explained.

Charley grinned. "Bless her. I could come round tonight if you wanted? We could open some wine with Lilly?"

"Sounds good. Max is working late tonight and I don't feel like being alone," Grace said.

Charley nodded and grinned. She smiled slightly and looked up as Simon walked in. Simon smiled. Grace walked out because she didn't want to be around him.

***
Max looked up as Grace walked in. She sat on his lap and felt his hands on her body. "Hello beautiful. How are you?"

"I'm okay. Charley is coming round tonight for a couple of hours while you're working. I hope that's okay?"

Max nodded and started to kiss her neck. Charley smiled. "Stop. I don't wanna have to do you in this office," she mumbled.

Max smirked. "That wouldn't be a bad thing."

***
Simon wasn't happy that Charley was spending time with his daughter and he wasn't allowed. He found Grace in the staffroom. "Why is it, my girlfriend who has no relationship to Lilly is allowed to see her but I'm not?" He asked.

"Do not think you can talk to me like that. How dare you?"

Simon rolled his eyes. "Lilly is my daughter and I want to spend time with her."

Grace scoffed. "No. I know you want to go for full custody but it's not happening. No court in the UK would give you custody of a child you walked out on. You know, I wish she wasn't your baby. I wish she was Max's. He's been there for her everyday of her life while you swanned around," she spat.

Simon glared. "She is my daughter and I'm telling you now, if you don't allow me to see her, you will be hearing from my lawyers. Test me on that Grace."

Grace shrugged and smirked. "Bring it on."
