Grace had called in sick to work. She couldn't see Max. She couldn't be reminded of what he did. He had broken her heart and she didn't know how to handle it. She felt betrayed.

Grace checked her phone and saw a text from Max;

I'm sorry. Please talk to me - Max x

Grace didn't reply. She turned the phone off and sighed. Lily came running in. "See daddy?" She asked.

"Later baby. Mummy isn't very well. Shall we watch some Disney?"

Lily nodded and climbed into bed with her mummy. Grace kissed the top of her head. She hated how Max had ripped her heart out. She didn't think she could ever forgive him. The hardest part was that she couldn't leave because Lily was attached to Simon and Charley.

Charley looked up as Max walked in. She smiled. "Everything okay?" She asked. She frowned when she saw Grace wasn't behind him.

Max sighed. "I don't suppose you've seen Grace?" He asked.

Charley shook her head just as Sonya walked in. "Oh. Grace called in sick. She sounded stuffy. She said she'll try and make it in tomorrow."

Max realised she was avoiding him. He didn't blame her. He had broken her heart after everything that they had been through. Charley looked at him. "What's happened?" She asked.

Max sighed. "She found me. Cheating on her. She hasn't talked to me since. She won't let me in the house," he said.

Charley swore. "Bloody hell Max. Do you not think she's been through enough? Who did you cheat with?"

"Sue."

Charley was gobsmacked. She sighed. "Tell Vaughan I've had to go and do something. I need to talk to Grace," she said.

Grace opened the door in Max's shirt. She saw Charley and broke down. Charley pulled her into a hug. "It's okay. He told me. I'm so sorry," she said.

"I hate him! I really hate him!" Grace sobbed as she was held by Charley. "Why did he cheat on me? Why?"

"I don't know babes. It's going to be okay. I'm here."

Charley made Grace some toast. She sighed when Grace didn't want to eat it. "Babes, you need to eat. You need to keep your strength up."

"I'm not hungry."

"Grace. Come on. Don't let him win. If he sees you like this, he'll know he's won," Charley said.

Grace sighed and shook her head. "He fixed my heart and then he ripped it out all over again. I can't... it's just hard. I don't think I can ever forgive him. And why Sue? What's so special about her?"

"Nothing. She's a flake of a teacher. She takes pills to help her control the class," Charley said.

Grace looked at Charley. "Do you think you could keep an eye on Lily for me? There's something I have to do."

Grace arrived at the school. Max was standing outside. He walked over to her. "Are you okay?" He asked.

"No. No I'm not. But we're done. Don't come back to the house. I hope Sue makes you happy," she said. She looked at him. "I'm pregnant by the way. Six weeks gone. But what's the point?"

Max was shocked. He stood there watching as she walked away. Now he knew she was pregnant, he had to win her back.

But would it be easy?
