Childish

Sages POV

It's been three whole days since me and Xan have spoken and I've come to a conclusion that he's avoiding me. I'm not exactly sure what I've done to make him upset but instead of being childish we could've just talked it out like the adults we are.

Rubbing my temple I stand from my desk overwhelmed by the amount of things i need to do. I've had meeting after meeting and on top of that I have Xan being ridiculous. Great. Over the last few months me and Xan have become good friends. I've gotten used to seeing him everyday. I hate to admit it but I miss his presence.

My phone vibrates interrupting my thoughts. Picking it up i notice that Dixon texted me asking if I was interested in going to a trampoline park with him. My laugh is immediate at the randomness of the offer. Just the thought of our grown asses jumping around is enough to make me wheeze.

My confusion must be obvious because Dixon takes initiative to further explaining that his little sister is having a birthday party, and he'd really appreciate me coming. Apparently she's a huge fan. He also is pretty adamant about getting to know me better since we've only spoken over the phone. My reply is yes obviously— why wouldn't I show up for his sister? Plus being a kid for the day sounds fun. Sue me.

My office doors burst open startling me. Behind it revealed my two very angry friends. Kassidy and Niko stand tall (Not so much Kassidy) glowering like someone pissed in their cereals. The two have been more worked up over the Xan situation then I am.

"I can't freaking believe him." Kassidy exclaims throwing her hands up and I hear her southern accent peek a bit.

"He's such a bitch for this. Three whole fucking days?!" Niko agrees loudly.

I wince.

"What happened to hello, how are you?" They throw me a pointed look and I swallow a laugh. Not the time?

"I don't know what his problem is but when i see him I'm gonna stick my foot so far up his butt that it comes out his—" Niko busts out laughing looking at Kassidy who just glares.

"Jesus Kassidy that's like super violent even for you. Where do I sign up?" I slap Niko's shoulder and we all giggle.

It's official, my friends are utterly insane. Turning back to my computer I tune the out momentarily in order to send a email. Niko starts talking but im completely oblivious to what's going on. I'm fortunate enough to catch the end of the sentence.

"So the plan is we pull up to his crib break in his house-"

What?

"He has a bunch of guards we cant just break in." Kassidy reminds frowning a little. What the hell are they talking about?

"Okay well we get the Leo guy and make him let us in. Then we find Xan and jump him." Niko decides shrugging.

"No we are not jumping him you're going to hold him down while I cut his balls off." Kassidy argues and Niko gives her a disapproving look.

"You can just hold him down cut his balls off, then jump him, simple." I add pressing send on my email before standing up from my desk.

"You're a genius babes." Niko says and Kassidy agrees. I shake my head at them both knowing that the probability of this happening is zero.

"Yeah, yeah, I've got some where to be. Make sure you two lock this door on your way out." I say exiting the office. As soon as I enter the elevator I pull out my phone shooting Dixon a text.

Me: Hey Dix what time does the party start?

Dalmatian 🐶: At 4.

I check the time seeing i have two hours to get dressed and make it there.
