a week has passed, and it's the saturday before the first day of school. i know i don't need to be so nervous, but i'm shitting bricks. i've been to this school before, even though i haven't been on campus for years. this time i actually have a solid friend base of taylor and jensen, but i literally don't know anyone else.

i groan and roll over on my bed. what the fuck is he talking about at this hour? i mean, this hour is 4 pm, but i already shut my blackout curtains and was ready to pass out. even though i wasn't able to sleep and was just disassociating while scrolling through tiktok, i don't really want to be disturbed.

it's a little dumb, but just seeing his contact name kinda makes me smile. over the week, we've seen each other almost every day since starbucks. one day, we just kinda fucked around in target, because what else is a suburban teenager supposed to do in the summertime? anyway, jensen was wearing this striped shirt- that for the record, looked very cute on him- and i said something about him looking like a sailor. to complete the look, i grabbed this little sailor hat probably made for a dog and forced it on his head. he looked so good laughing with his hair all tussled up, then he gripped my wrist in an effort to yank the hat off.
it was such a little thing, that touch, but his hand felt so warm against mine. he could probably feel my blood pressure rise, and i went limp. i just stood there, admiring how our bodies almost touched, and we gazed at each other for a few solid seconds until taylor came back. after that, he just went on like nothing happened. man, i'm touch-starved. i cant help but wonder if this is completely one-sided, or perhaps he knows how much power he holds over me and this stuff is just teasing? anyway, blah blah blah, i was pulling up some old convos in the group chat and he noticed that i didn't have a special contact name, just jensen moon. taylor's contact name is never just taylor alvarez; it's toe sucker, bitch, aderall alvarez, etc. before, i wasn't sure if were close enough to say that shit without him getting offended. so, i just gave him my phone and said he can pick his own name, and this is what he typed.
that was just a long-winded way of saying i'm a deprived simp and overthink the tiniest details. like that heart?? but aren't yellow hearts supposed to be platonic..?
