"Are you following me? Seems a little stalkerish." I jokingly asked as I turned around to face the blonde.

"Obviously, dumbass. But I'm not a stalker!" Bakugo placed his face in his palm as he spoke. "I remember you saying you'd fight me the other day... or are you too busy with healing others now?" He started to move closer to me.

"What are you talking about- healing others?" I paused for a moment while I processed what he meant. "You hate Midoriya that much that I can't even heal him?" I started to raise my voice.

Bakugo rolled his eyes. "It's that nerds fault for apparently having a shitty quirk that hurts himself! Why should others be burdened because of it?" His emotions started to flood forward as the venomous words left his lips.

Is he for real?

"And you wanna be a hero with that mindset?... You know what, fuck it." I angrily mumbled as I began to walk towards Bakugo. He was the epitome of a fake hero. Reaching out, I grabbed his wrist. He stumbled to continue walking on his feet as I drug him down the hall.

"Oi- what the hell do you think you're doing?"

Bakugo nearly slammed into the back of me as I immediately stopped in place. Peering at the pissy blonde over my shoulder, I smiled.

"I'm gonna kick your ass."

- - - - - -

The cold air stole my breath as we walked out of the large school building.

"Let's hurry this up." I stated while walking onto one of U.A.'s large training fields. "We've got roughly 20 minutes until class starts up again."

A cocky grin crept onto the blonde's already arrogant face. "I doubt this will take more than 5 minutes."

"I can't wait to kick that shitty look off your face."

I can't remember the last time I've actually fought with somebody for purposes other than mock fights in training. Shigaraki kept me on the backlines during any dirty work the league did. He argued I needed to stay upright in case someone needed paralyzed or healed. Honestly, fighting was one of the biggest adrenaline rushes for me.

My fingers dig into my palm as I rush towards Bakugo. The blonde was quick to speed towards me. I wanted to start out with just physical fighting, seeing as my quirk would leave him immobilized as soon as I used it.

He's not gonna let me land a predictable hit.

I fake him out by going for a chest kick first. As my leg extends towards his body, he ducks to dodge the impact. Pushing my leg back into the dirt to ground myself, I pull back my arm. The warmth of Bakugo's face spreads to my fist as it slams into his cheek, forcing his body to stumble backwards.

He quickly grabs his cheek, before rushing at me again.

"NOW YOU'RE GONNA GET IT BITCH"

The smell of smoke takes over my senses as he uses explosions propel himself towards me. His feet make contact with the ground again as he slides to a stop a few feet in front of me. Red sparks come from his right hand as his palm comes into my view. I try to move from the front force of the blast, but I'm far too slow.

"EAT SHIT

A wave of heat covers every inch of my body as I'm blown backwards. My shoulder hits the ground first, then my waist as I skip and roll across the dirt. My stomach slams into the ground as my momentum finally comes to a stop. The impact forces all of the air inside of me to pour out. Gasping for breath, I take in my surroundings. There's an obvious skid mark from where my body first impacted with the ground to where I'm lying now. The scent of blood becomes apparent.

Vibrations from the ground slightly shake my body as Bakugo runs over to me. Standing at my side, his blood-hue eyes peer down at me.

Straining to sit up, my fingers grasp at a wound on my shoulder as a yellow glow illuminates part of my body.

The wound on my shoulder must have been pretty rough since his eyes widened with fear when he noticed it. He watched as my wound began to slowly close, before moving a step towards me.

"Now get the fuck up and actually fight me with your quirk."

Guess now is a good time to end the fight.

As the yellow light fades from my hand, a dark purple light begins to shine from my other arm. I raise my shaky hand towards Bakugo as the light continues to extend through my veins.
The light never extends past my fingertips.

What the fuck..

I pull my hand closer to my face to study my fingers, I don't see any injuries that would prevent my quirk from working. I raise my hand once again, but still nothing happens.

"Get the fuck up and fight damnit!"

Our eyes met as Bakugo harshly looked down at me. In his eyes I could see resemblance of hatred, pity, maybe even disappointment. Looks I was all too familiar with at this point. A dangerous purple hue reflected in the gloss of his eyes.

Memories from missions with the league flash through my mind.

'S-Stop.. P-Please'
'Why... are you doing this to me?'
'I-It h-hurts'

People lying on the ground.. Dried blood covering their bodies.. Their screams..
All sharing one thing in common..
The reflection of a purple glow shining in their terrified eyes.

A warm tear slid down my face as my senses were overloaded with the memories.

"What the- Are you crying?"

Bakugo's voice pulled me from the suffocating imagery. With one hand placed firmly on my shoulder, he knelt beside me. I tried to focus on his face, but the rigid shaking of my body was making it almost impossible. The thought of making him feel that pain, hearing his screams, it made me utterly nauseous. The purple glow from my hand crept into the edge of my perception. Disgusted, I stared at my lit hand.

"Let's get back inside." Bakugo reached out to take my hand.

"N-No, don't." I quickly pulled my hand into my chest. "I-I'm alright. Sorry." I stood from where I had been sitting. Still shaking, I brushed the dirt from my body, giving myself time to breath and calm my nerves.

"Thanks for fighting with me. It was fun." I weakly smiled at him before turning to walk back towards the school.

Bakugo slid the door to the classroom open as we both quickly rushed inside. Everyone but Mr. Aizawa was already there. Confused glances and whispers arose from the class as I walked to my seat.

Suddenly, my first day at U.A. had officially ended. The bell rung signaling the end of the school day.

"Good work today." Aizawa mumbled before leaving the class. Many students stuck around to chat, but I personally couldn't wait to leave.

As I made my way through the crowded halls, I kept my eyes down. I examined the shoes on the ground around me as I passed each new pair. The fight with Bakugo had lingered in my mind throughout the rest of the school day.

I just need to get out of here.

My anxious thoughts were interrupted as I slammed into something... soft?

A large red pair of wings blocked my view.

"Ah- sorry there kiddo." The bird man smiled while rubbing the back of his neck.
All Might emerged from a nearby faculty office, his eyes scanned the hallway until they landed on the man in front of me. He walked over to us, flashing his signature smile at me on the way.

"Young Ritsuki, good to see you at U.A. I was incredibly impressed by your healing capabilities during the entrance exams."

"Uh, thanks." I did my best to smile at him. I had never been this close to All Might before, let alone actually talked to him. He was ultimately the worst hero in Shigaraki's opinion, and he made sure that everyone in the league knew.

"I see you met my friend, pro-hero Hawks. Hawks, this is Ritsuki Yui, an incredible hero in the making." All Might beamed.

"Nice to meet you, Ritsuki." Hawks smiled at me and stuck out his surprisingly human, not bird, hand.

"Y-Yeah you too. Sorry for bumping into you." I mumbled after shaking his hand.

"No worries here! My wings can take up quite a bit of space." He breathily laughed with his last statement. Unsure of what to do, I awkwardly laughed in return.

"Have a great rest of your day, young hero." All Might smiled one last time before leading Hawks back into the faculty room he had originally came out of.

What the hell just happened.

After a 20 minute walk, I had made it back to my temporary house. As much as I hated to admit it, it was almost nice coming back to a nicely kept place like this instead of the busted up building the league was hiding out in. It vaguely reminded me of the one I shared with my parents.

I rustled in my bag until I found the house keys. Even after a week of living here, I still struggled to unlock the front door.

As I stepped inside, I could tell something was off immediately. The hair on my neck stood as I listened to quiet rumbling coming from my bedroom.

Each step I took became quieter than the last. I held my hand in front of me, the purple glow illuminating a tiny space around me.

Small noises of rustling grew as I got closer to the room. With my back pressed against the edge of the wall directly next to the bedroom door, I listened to where exactly in the room the noises were coming from. I was able to gauge the noise resonating from somewhere near my closet. In a split second, I dove into the room, shooting a constant ray of purple light into the direction of my closet.
