BAKUGO POV

"TAKE THIS BITCH" 
I skyrocket my body forward with an explosion on the ground, before sending a devastating blow into the freaks blades. The metal shatters, sending debris flying all around. Only a few slices knick my face. Dust kicks up from the ground as I land on my feet. As I feel a small amount of blood slide down my face it comes to realization that Yui is in close enough proximity to also get hurt. I spot her crouched beside a bush near where we exited the forest. Her hand is pressed against her face as blood spills from the edges of her palm, dripping down her chin. A yellow glow covers her face as she heals herself. 

I need to get her out of here. 

Just as I move towards her, she looks back to me. My stomach drops as her eyes widden, staring at something behind me. Before I can react, Yui jolts up, arm stretched towards sharp boy behind me. 

"NOOOO"

I'm blinded for a second by the intense purple light that darts around me, impacting the villain. Blades extending from his teeth stop 5 feet from me as he falls onto the ground. I stare at the man on the ground as his body begins to shake, then compulse. He stares at Yui before trying to speak. "Yo-u?" 
 I expect the light to stop, but it doesn't. 

Turning back Yui, her arm is wavering while stretched out, but her knees are wobbling. Almost all of the color has left her skin as her eyes start to roll back into her head. 

Sparks in my palm ignite, propeling me towards her. I'm able to grab her before she falls, but I end up tumbling with her. Rocks tear into my skin as I slide across the ground, holding Yui on top of me. Once my body comes to a halt, I'm able to gently lay Yui on the ground. Her eyes are open, but I can only see the whites of them. Taking her shoulders in my hand I shake her trying to wake her up. 

"Yui, come on." 

Her body moves from my force, but as I remove my hands, her body starts to shake harder. She's having a seizure. Gently, I move her head into my lap as she continues to convulse. In the opening, Ojiro and Tokoyami capture blade dude. Slowly, Yui's body begins to still. I move the hair stuck in blood and sweat on her face behind her ear as I hold her closely. 

I have always been the tough one. The one who takes no shit, but gives it consistently. Indifferent to the world around me, I worked my way to get here. 

Never would I have thought that I would be holding the only person I've loved in my arms as they lay limp, with nothing I can do to help them. The only hope I have is in the small breaths moving her chest, telling me she's still alive. 

Cradling Yui to my chest, I feel my heart shatter.

"Please... Please wake up." 
"Yui..."

I feel a small movement on my side, as Yui's arm twitches. Slowly, her eyes move.  

YUI POV

"Yui.."

As I stare at the boy on the floor in front of me, I hear someone say my name. I try to move but nothing happens, suddenly my vision goes black. 

My eyelids feel like bricks as I strain to open them. My eyes readjust to the light, and directly in front of my face is Bakugo. His blonde spikes are hanging in his face as her stares down at me. His normally sharp eyes are glistening with pain, a streak of liquid traveling down his cheek. 

"K-Katsuk-i?" 

His narow lips curve in a small smirk. 

"Hey" The breathy word barely escapes from him. 

I sit up as he guides my body, allowing me to lean my weight into him. His hands gently cup my face as he brings his lips to mine. He pulls back from our kiss, only to snuggle his face into my neck, engulfing me into a hug. I couldn't stop the smile that spread onto my face even if I wanted to as I embraced him back. 

"I thought I lost you."

Bakugo's loving demeanor only lasted a minute before he noticed the scar on my face. Brushing his finger gently across it, he began to tell me about what happend to me, and the villain. I was able to stand on my own, but I needed the support from Bakugo's arm around my waist as we began walking back towards camp. 

It was only a matter of time before another plea for help caught our attention.
