Taehyung~
Oh no, this is not good. Standing here in front of the royal prince and his knight, I can feel trouble brewing. But wow, the prince looks even better than I imagined. The stories in the kingdom made me picture him as a towering giant, but he's actually soft-looking and humble. And those twinkling eyes, they're practically mesmerizing.
The red strands in his jet black hair perfectly complement his black shirt. Watching him effortlessly take down two men simultaneously, I can't help but admire his skill. I untied my hands a while ago, and now I'm regretting it. I should have just left instead of making myself visible in front of the prince and the legendary knight.
If my guess is right, the prince must be Jungkook, and the person beside him is Min Yoongi. I've heard countless stories of their victories and heroism, and now here they are, standing right in front of me.
Taehyung, what on earth are you doing? I'm royally screwed, facing the two most powerful individuals in the entire kingdom.
"You!" Yoongi took a step closer to me, but then he slipped and fell on the muddy ground. I gasped, and I could see the prince reacting in the same way.
"Yoongi? Out of all people, you fell?" the prince teased, a mischievous smile on his face, while the knight glared at him.
I definitely didn't expect the prince and the knight to have this kind of playful banter. They're like children.
"I never fall," Yoongi grumbled, trying to get up, but he slipped again.
I'm torn between wanting to burst into laughter or helping him up. And that's when it hits me.
"Yoongi, what's wrong?" the prince offered his hand, and Yoongi tried to get up again, but he slipped once more.
"For God's sake!"
"You won't be able to stand until I decide!" We all turned our heads towards the source of the voice.
"Jimin—"
"Don't worry, my friend. I've come to your rescue! Are these two the ones who kidnapped you?" Jimin, small in stature but cunning and ruthless when it comes to his friends' safety, interjected.
Kidnapped? The prince looked at me, and I couldn't bring myself to meet his gaze.
"You're making me fall with your magic, aren't you?" Yoongi growled.
Magic! Oh no, the kingdom barely tolerates magic.
"No—"
"Yes, sweetheart," Jimin smirked. "Do you Scornians think that only you people are powerful?"
"Jimin—" I need to stop him before he offends the knight even more. We can't afford to make enemies with the powerful royal figures. Magic isn't exactly favored in the kingdom.
"I have to admit, Tae, this is the first time I'm looking at an attractive Scornian," Jimin chuckled, running a hand through his hair. "Too bad we can't do anything with that since they're evil Scornians."
"Jimin! They're not Scornians!" I blurt out.
"What? Then who are they?" Jimin's eyes widen in surprise.
"That's the prince and his knight! Stop your magic!"
"Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God." Jimin unclenches his hand, and his magic wears off, allowing Yoongi to finally stand properly.
"You're done, kid! Come here!" Yoongi points at Jimin, who scurries behind me, seeking protection.
"This is a misunderstanding. I was kidnapped, and he was just trying
to help. We didn't know you were royals," I explain. "We mean no harm."
"I will arrest that kid! You'll never see daylight again!" Yoongi steps closer, but the prince intervenes.
"Let them go. We only harm those who harm us," the prince asserts, his voice filled with authority.
"Excuse me!? Did you not see me fall? I could have broken my back!" Yoongi exclaims, clearly not pleased.
Jimin gasps. Who talks to the prince like that?
"Nothing happened, hyung. Let them go." The prince looks at me and Jimin. "Consider this a final warning. This kingdom values peace, and we don't want tribes fighting over petty things. These conflicts could escalate to murder one day. Stop it or—"
"Or what? You can't kill us! The law doesn't allow it," I interject, trying to appear brave, even though I'm shaking inside.
"Watch it," Yoongi warns, his gaze piercing.
"The law will change once I'm crowned king. So if you want to stay on my good side, you'll have to put an end to the tribal rivalry," the prince declares firmly.
Jimin nods, his eyes wide. "Yes, Majesty."
"Aren't you going to apologize?" Yoongi looks at Jimin, his tone stern.
"Sorry," Jimin mutters, though I know he doesn't mean it.
"Now leave before we change our minds," the prince orders.
Jimin grabs my hand, and we start walking away. I can't help but feel a twinge of sadness, leaving the prince behind.
Will I ever see him again? People like us, belonging to tribes, will never get the chance to step foot inside the palace. But I want to see him again, despite the odds.
I guess I'm just a hopeless dreamer.
