New Problems
Haruka and I just got back to their home, holding my hand still when I open the door while holding a bouquet in the other arm. Nothing was touched and it was quiet so we knew Kiryu didn't get up. We head over to his bedroom to see he was sitting on his bed with a troubled look.
(L/n): "Yo, Kaz, you doing okay?"
Kiryu: "Huh, (L/n)? Haruka? Where have you two been?" He looks over and notices the flowers, "And what's up with the flowers?"
Haruka: "You said we'd visit their graves."
Kiryu: "Yeah, I guess I did."
Haruka: "Uncle Kaz, are you hungry? I'll go make us some breakfast."
Kiryu: "Thanks... I'll help you out."
Haruka: "It's fine, nii-san said he'd help!" She walks over handing the flowers to Kiryu, "We've gotten better over the year, right?"
Kiryu: "You two sure have."
Haruka and I head back into the kitchen leaving him alone. Haruka and I start breakfast as usual with a little bit of arguing on how much of something needs to be used but it came out great, Kiryu joining us as we just talked but it took a few days the first time I visited that Kiryu hinted he wanted to know nothing about the family or Tojo unless it was serious so I avoided those topics. After we finished we headed out, grabbing a taxi to the graveyard. We didn't walk long before seeing them all again.
Kiryu went to Nishiki's grave while Haruka visited her mom. I went a little further back to see Juno. I got on my knees clasping my hands.
(L/n): "Hello, sir, been a year huh... Hope you got to see Kazama again, I'm sure he gave you an earful huh? Heh... You were a bastard but you only did what you thought was right for the family. So I made sure that's how they remembered you, a man who sacrificed himself to save me and Kiryu after noticing some Omi go up the tower and learning Jingu's plan. You'd probably smack me upside the head for lying but... I guess I felt like I needed to thank you somehow... Rest easy, old man..."
I got up and walked back to see Kiryu has moved to Kazama's grave. Haruka and I waited until he got up and sighed, turning around to give us a smile.
Terada: "Fourth Chairman." We turn to see Terada walk towards us, I quickly put my hands on my knees and bow but he shakes his head, "Get up, (L/n)-kun, that's not necessary."
(L/n): "Ah, yes, fifth chairman."
Kiryu: "Terada...?"
Terada: "It's been a while."
Kiryu: "You shouldn't be out alone."
Terada: "I got the boys waiting down yonder, I've got something I need to say that's only for the fourth chairman's ears..."
Kiryu: "Lose the 'Fourth Chairman.' I'm just a civilian now. Anyway, what's this about?"
Terada: "I'm hoping to swear an oath with Chairman Goda of the Omi Alliance."
(L/n): "An oath with the Omi?"
Terada: "If we're going to avoid a war with the Omi Alliance, this is the only way."
Kiryu: "Are things that grim for the Tojo Clan now?"
Terada: "The Tojo infrastructure's still in the shambles after what happened last year, if it comes to war, blood will spill and the Tojo Clan will be devoured by the Omi Alliance. I can't allow that to come to fruition."
Kiryu: "Chairman Goda has all the leverage here, hard to imagine them coming to the table."
He turns around and holds his hand out letting Haruka hold it as he started to walk away, I look between the two and bow at Terada and follow Kiryu.
