A Grand Return
I was sat looking out the window on the left side of the train while Kiryu made it back to his side on the right with Daigo, putting a drink down for him before taking a seat.
Kiryu: "Hey... Your fight five years ago... Who'd you face?"
Daigo: "The second patriarch of the Omi Alliance's Go-Ryu Clan, Ryuji Goda. He's the son of the chairman we're heading to meet, Jin Goda."
(L/n): "Shit man, wanna go after the prime minister too?"
Daigo: "I was an idiot... I fell right into his little trap."
Kiryu: "A trap?"
Daigo: "Yeah, five years ago the Go-Ryu Clan was making regular visits up to the Kamurocho."
Kiryu: "Were they after the old Dojima Family?"
Daigo: "It didn't matter, any Tojo Officer would do. Their plan was to poke at the Tojo until they came down to Kansai... I was pretty reckless back then, and I jumped at the bait."
Kiryu: "You made a move on Kansai?"
Daigo: "All by myself."
(L/n): "Starting to sound like you wanna die, sir."
Daigo: "Maybe, not until I even the score. I flew out to Kansai for a one-on-one fight with Ryuji Goda... But when I got there, the cops were waiting. Got busted for carrying, and then it was shit jail food for five years..." Kiryu gives him a look, "Not that I can complain to a guy who ate it for twice that. So I still owe one to Ryuji Goda, until I settle this, I can't carry the Tojo Clan..."
(L/n): "Well that's fair I guess..."
Daigo: "The Omi Alliance doesn't fuck around, who knows what they've got up their sleeve, this oath thing... You better be careful."
Kiryu: "Yeah"
(L/n): "No worries sir, we always are."
The train long wasn't that long after we went quiet, we got up and walked the rest of the way. The fishy breeze hit our nostrils as we entered Sotenbori, of course not much has changed but it was nice to see how it looked at night since Majima and I were only here for the day.
Daigo: "Hey, you two, gonna head straight to the hotel?"
Kiryu: "I haven't given it much thought."
(L/n): "Might grab something to eat, wonder how axolotl taste..."
Daigo: "Yeah, well... Like I said, I've got nothing but bad memories here, doesn't exactly put me in the mood to hit the town."
Kiryu: "I think I'll go for a walk then with (L/n)-kun. You get some rest."
Daigo: "Right, maybe I'll do just that. Keep an eye out too, this ain't our turf, so don't go crazy at any bars."
He walks off with his hands in his pocket as Kiryu and I look around.
Kiryu: "I haven't been here in a long time."
(L/n): "I visited a few months back, it any different from when you were last here?"
Kiryu: "Mostly different, but there are a few things that always stay the same."
We take a look around to see what kind of food we were in the mood for but apparently, this place ain't too different from Kamurocho considering we got stopped by a punk shorty after we just started walking.
Sotenbori Thug: "Hey, where do ya think you're goin', pals? I ain't seen you around before! Guys like you should know their place, quit struttin' around like a damn peacock."
