Criticism spot! :)

Crutchie's POV

A week had passed since Jack had come to my house and helped me to calm down, only making our friendship stronger. Surprisingly, my Dad had been leaving me alone for most days this week, allowing me time to breathe. I was grabbing my stuff from my locker when Jack suddenly showed up, a smile on his face.

"I stopped by Target on my way here, got you these," he handed me a new box of burn bandages, making me smile back.

"You really don't have to do this, you know," I said, taking the box.

"I know, but I can." He smirked, making me giggle a bit. "It's just a workday in bio, right?"

"Mhm," I closed my locker and put my backpack on, getting ready to head to class. "Say, I haven't seen Race for a while, where is he?"

"Oh, he's on vacation." I nodded, and we started our walk.

This was the final day we had in class to work on our projects, but since Jack and I had already finished, we decided to just spend the time having fun. While we talked, I decided to check my school email, making sure I hadn't missed anything important. The first email listed in my inbox was titled 'A Helpful Tip,' and I clicked on it, confused.

'Charlie,
Seeing that you are at school today, it seems you may need some help. Below is a link to a tutorial that could do you wonders! I hope it works.

I tensed up, my heart sinking. Of course, Jack noticed this sudden change in me, making him worry right away.

"Everything alright?" He asked, speaking softly.

"Yeah, sorry," I mumbled, closing out of the email. To my surprise, Jack didn't push me any further, trusting that I had simply gotten distracted by something.

I made the stupid decision to delete the message before blocking whoever had sent it, meaning they could just contact me again. I knew, though, that if I got a second one, I'd be sure to see who it was from and make sure they couldn't talk to me through email anymore.

When the bell rang for lunch I went right to my locker, switching out my morning stuff for whatever I needed in the afternoon. As I stood there, I was suddenly grabbed by my shirt, Oscar doing his classic move of pinning me to the lockers.

"So, looks like you don't have your bodyguard, huh?" He began, smirking. I stayed silent, knowing it was my best option.

"Oscar, let's just get him after school. I don't want a teacher to see us," Morris warned, seeming nervous.

"Fine, fine," Oscar backed away, not before grabbing my crutch from me and throwing it to the ground, knocking the bolt on the handle loose. "See you soon," he teased, walking away.

I rolled my eyes and sighed, picking my crutch up and trying to tighten the handle, otherwise I wouldn't be able to use it. Of course, I was way, way too weak to turn it, so I grabbed my phone and texted Jack.

12:48 pm Hey, you're at lunch rn, right?

12:48 pm Yeah, why?

12:48 pm I'm so sorry to bug you, but I need some help with my crutch. The handle came loose and my weak ass can't tighten it.

12:49 pm I'll be right there, you at your locker?

12:49 pm Yeah, thank you so much

12:49 pm No need to thank me :)

He showed up soon after, smiling. I handed him my crutch, embarrassed.
