Welcome to the Villains' World
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Well, here goes nothing...
You swallowed a thick lump to coat the dryness in your throat, could it be the nervousness while you stood and watched from the sidelines for Deuce to most likely throw Ace towards Grim on the chandelier. Which in the back of your mind was a horrible idea, but what option do you have. Sweat dripped down the side of your head, down to your temple.
I've got a bad feeling about this... You sighed internally and clasped your hands together most likely as a prayer.
At that moment, Deuce had already used his magic on Ace and made him float erratically with unstable balance. You did hear him say that they haven't learned to make something float properly yet, as they were still first years. Although it made your teeth bite the flesh of your bottom lip, it seems that Ace is protesting but you paid no mind to it. You just have to pray for him, I guess.
"What?! You're joking? Woah! Don't make me float!" Ace shrieked with his feet off the ground, struggling his way down the ground in panic. "Are you really going to throw me there!? Hey! Knock it off!!"
Ignoring his pleading cries, the navy haired student glares at him. "Catch him, you hear? Take aim. Fire!" And just like that, Deuce's magical pen glowed and pointed it to the direction where Grim was to pinpoint his location. So Deuce was controlling the ginger's mobility with his magic and made the ginger float there.
You were standing there doing nothing at the moment because of how nervous you were. Watching and hearing Ace's yelling made you sigh knowing that you couldn't do anything to help him or Deuce. You are magicless after all and with that thought, it made you feel pretty helpless.
Oh well... Good luck.
"Agh!" Ace's familiar shriek interrupted your thoughts. Seeing him successfully captured Grim from the ornament until he bumped an arm from the other part of the chandelier. A look of utter terror displayed upon your features, and your feet moved on its own; you started to sprint towards the falling mammal with your arms extended to catch your companion in a mere second.
Until a heavy weight landed on your arms. For a moment, it made you a bit confused and your eyes shifted to stare at the intruder's eyes. Where bright red eyes stared to your own and immediate shock suddenly plastered itself to your faces, frozen and gaping. Ace's face flushed into a deep red almost to compare to his bright ginger hair and in a startle, you suddenly dropped him on the cold ground causing him to wince in pain.
"Grim!" You wasted no time and rushed to the mammal who landed on one of the cafeteria tables; immediately checking his vitals and sighing in relief when he was fine. Except that he was unconscious, cradled in your arms.
A coughing fit came from you when dust immediately, suddenly blocked your view. "What are these people doing now?!" You mumbled to yourself with your eyes narrowing to protect them and when the dust cleared out and allowed you to see, a gasp left when shards from the chandelier were found scattered on the floor.
"The chandelier!" You gasped. Wincing slightly at the pain throbbing on your injured hand while you held Grim.
"Are you an idiot!?" Ace yelled at Deuce who stood beside you. "We caught Grim but if the headmaster finds out we busted the chandelier we're doomed!" He then approached the navy haired student with an upset expression on his face while Deuce remained neutral.
"If I... find out?"
All of a sudden, speak of the devil, the man that you three both feared in this very circumstance appeared out of nowhere in the cafeterias entrance, his golden irises shrunk into the hollowness of his eyes. Deuce had the look of shock while you flinched nervously when hearing the headmaster's voice and Ace...
