The Rebel of the Savannah
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Your drowsiness settled in and you slept under the blanket's warm embrace, drifting into the night. It was then the mirror in your room glowed and you shivered in your sleep when a brush of wind lured you into a glimpse of a swirling mirror. Somehow this time, looking into the mirror felt quite real as it became a blink of an eye, a scenery appeared.

You were standing in a large cave, rocks and stones covered every inch and sunlight was nowhere in sight. Then, crooked movement caught your attention and a look of surprise flashed across your face when hyenas began to crowd inside the eerie cave. Laughing with mockery as they marched their way inside.
"What is this place?" You asked that remained unanswered.
Then, a lion stood out from a stone pillar above. The same dark-maned lion who was glaring at the other lion with an orange mane from the recent dream.
"A shining new era is tiptoeing nearer." Said the lion, a low and cold voice that echoed in vice.
"And where do we feature?" One of the hyenas in the crowd asked, who seemed to be closer to the lion as his lackey.
"Just listen to the teacher." Everyone had awaited when the lion spoke again, a sickening look displayed in his face. The lion mused. "We will kill Mufasa, and Simba too!"
"Then I will be King!"
"What a great idea! Long Live the King!" The hyenas yelled in broken synchronization, their witching laughter echoed in the cave in an unsettling way.
"What?" You couldn't believe your eyes. Their intentions had suggested who they were planning to kill. You guessed that it could be that majestic lion from before and possibly, the little cub. But why?
"Why does he desperately want to be King?"
Your eyes continued to grow wide and your pupils shook as you watched these animals go down in hysteria. Madness. It felt sickening but their expressions tell you the difference of their morality.
"Be prepared!!"

"Hey."
"Hey!"
You flinched, eyes snapping to reality when you realized that you were daydreaming while walking. It took you a while to rearrange your thoughts ever since Grim woke you up and he didn't hesitate to drag you out in a hurry for breakfast. Which you noticed who now stood in-front of you, and you realized that you stopped halfway from walking in the bricked path of the main street.
"You keep staring at the air since we got out, y'know. It won't do any of us good if you keep getting distracted, it might ruin our chance for the Magic Shift..." Grim had his arms crossed over his chest, finding your silence and airheaded demeanor odd.
"Sorry, Grim..." You chuckled sheepishly and Grim narrows his eyes at you with a hint of suspicion. Watching you heave a short, shrugging hum and keep on walking.
He walked alongside you. "Come to think of it, where'd you go off to last night? You weren't in bed when I went to the bathroom..."
"Ah." You began to recall the ethereal moment upon meeting the stranger outside the dorm. "Actually, I met a student with horns last night while... while I was taking a night stroll. He seemed disappointed when knowing that we were residing in Ramshackle."
