The Rebel of the Savannah
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━"I'm so sorry for wandering like that..." You breathed out as you rested your hand on one of the statues of the Great Seven in the main street. Watching the others panting to catch their breaths. Especially Grim and Cater, while Riddle crossed his arms.
"That was scary..." Grim huffed tiredly below your feet and looked at Riddle. "What was their deal anyway?"
Riddle angrily mirrored Grim's huff. "Don't ask me... Those two have always been so difficult to grasp that I can't really understand them."
"For real. If I had to go after those twins, I'd be crazy scared about the blowback." Cater sighed soon after.
The diamond third year was crouching below one of the statues and was still panting, trying to catch a breather from the run you four had. Now you feel really bad for wandering around so carelessly, but you really couldn't keep yourself from being giddy when spotting those twins. They look so magnificent to look at!
"Well, seeing how they looked, I wouldn't even try to do that to them if it means a strategy." You then approached him and leaned down to lend a hand. Smiling in regret. "Are you alright?"
Cater stared at your hand for a moment, before he beamed as his hand took yours. "Ahh, so lame of me~" Chuckling, you tugged him up from your gloved hand and you nodded upon hearing him thank you.
"It's getting late, so let's make the next one on the list the last one for the day." The third year grinned before Riddle looked at his own watch, catching your attention.
Riddle spoke, looking up from the time. "I ought to return to the dorm since it's late. By the decrees of the The Queen of Hearts, Article 346: 'One mustn't play croquette in the garden after 5pm'!"
"Duty calls, huh?" You mused, tilting your head. As much as the redhead was still following the rules, he did became a lot more lenient thanks to the others, and your help.
However, Grim seems displeased. "And here I thought you might've got a little softer... Still the same as ever, huh?" He asked from the ground, earning a flinch from Riddle.
"N-no! I... I've actually become far more..." Riddle stuttered and was suddenly bashful. Continuing, "Much more lenient when it comes to the rules..."
You sent the redhead an apologetic look and picked Grim up from the ground. Looping your arm around his chest. "Now, now, Grim. Why can't you see he's trying?" Grim only pouts in his response.
"Trust me." Cater piped in to reassure Riddle. "You've really loosen up way than before! Right, [m.name]-chan~?"
You nodded within a beat. Cute, they thought. "Mhm! One of your best qualities is that dedication, Riddle."
Feeling reassured from your and Cater's words, Riddle grins from your efforts and he finally excused himself to go back to Heartslabyul. With you and Cater waving him off from the distance. You diverted your attention back to the senior as he was texting someone.
"Now," He looked up from the device, to you. "Last but not least on our list is a student from Savanaclaw, first year; Jack Howl."
"Let's go then. What about Ace and Deuce?" You asked and slightly perked up from the mention of Savanaclaw. A player from the dorm, first year at that.
"I sent them a text to meet us there!" He cheerfully said, and his face suddenly contorts to a pout. "But too bad you haven't got a cellphone, [m.name]-chan!"
