Lilliana Morst
I got to work and that's when all hell broke loose. I spotted a few family members arguing with my boss in front of my work place. I could see that the argument was seconds away from exploding into a fight. Teyanne's car was quickly drawing attention and I couldn't afford to lose my job.
"Yoo, what's going on?" Tey leaned forward to see the argument better. "They're gonna get me fired and then I'll have nothing," I whispered, tears glittering in my eyes. "That's not true, Lilliana. I won't let that happen," Tey told me seriously.
"You've let a lot happen Tey."
"What we did was a two-person thing, Lilliana. All of the blame isn't just on me," Tey threw up her hands.
I ignored her and walked quickly over to the commotion. "What's going on?" I asked them, although it was pretty easy to tell.
"Around town, sleeping with all types of women. Being a hoe. You made Grandma have a stroke," one of my distant cousins shouted at me. I took a step back, surprised by this information and also angry. This whole situation, this whole ordeal, this whole mess felt unreal.
"Dahnaée lied, she just wants y'all to hate me like y'all hate her," I told them. "And I wasn't around town sleeping with various women," I scoffed.
"Then what's all of this about you not being in college still? We all decided to go down to the dorm we knew you stayed in and we found it empty. We asked around and they said you had been kicked out."
"Well I'm sorry that I decided to switch universities. I have to wait til next semester," I shrugged, exhaling loudly, "I mean is that a crime?"
"But why would you get kicked out of town? Some girl named Sara told us that you were kicked out because of an affair with someone from the Sully family." One cousin pointed to Tey's car. "We looked them up and that's her car."
"First of all, why the hell are y'all going around asking about what a grown woman does? Second of all, why do y'all care so much? Tey just gave me a ride here because we were trying to discuss why the hell these rumors were out about us and we didn't even do nothing," I threw up my hands.
"Grandma took the liberty to talk to Teyanne Silly's grandmother. Matter of fact, while she's in the hospital, she's talking to her right now on the phone."
"We were worried sick about you because you hadn't been contacting yo mama as much," another cousin piped up. "I don't need y'all popping up places every time I decide I wanna change my mind about something, or I'm busy for a few days, or whatever the case may be. I'm grown, and I'm not out here doing whatever the hell Dahnaée den lied and said I did."
Three of my cousins stared at me with a mixture of shock and anger. "But Lilliana, you know we got a big family. That's not how we roll. We look out for our own, we stay in contact, and you've hurt Grandma a lot."
"Tell me, Lilli. Are you really gay?" another cousin asked.
"Ahem," my boss cleared her throat, and I turned around to face her. God, I had forgotten about her. I was going to lose my job. I was going to be everything my mother promised that I would be if I didn't continue my education. I felt defeated before she even said the words.
"I don't think this job is for you Lilliana. And quite frankly, I don't want anything like this happening again. This endangers our employees, our customers, gives us a bad rep, and decreases our value as a business. I'm sorry, you were a good worker but I'm going to have to fire you."
I stared at the sidewalk then glared at my family members. "Don't talk to me ever again. I don't care who's dying. Stay out my fucking life. You always make shit worse."
I spit at my cousin's feet then stalked back to Teyanne's car. She was silent as she wordlessly pulled out of the space and drove away. I quietly cried, some part of me willing Teyanne to look at me. Look at what you must have known (at least a little) would happen to us. She had a house, she had a car, but soon I'd have nothing. And all because of the family's black sheep getting jealous of someone trying to find her shine underneath all of the grinding.
"Lilliana, you can come and stay with me."
"I don't want to ever look at Christiano ever again. I don't want to smell it," I listed off on my fingers, "I don't want to hear about it, I don't want to say it, I don't want anything to do with that town or that college, Tey."
"I mean, I'm going to move, sell the Jag, and find somewhere quiet and away from Christiano."
"I wanna be away from Houston too," I mumbled.
"Our families are similar. Yours is tight knit and suffocating, mine likes to uphold standards and is pressuring."
"I'd like to think this would be over once I get a career, but who knows. I mean, I'm grown," I started to rant to her, "Why are they always tryna check up on me and start shit? Now I'm gonna be homeless."
"You're not, you're staying with me Lilliana," Teyanne told me seriously. Something deep and authoritative in her voice made my insides shiver. "Or what?" I asked her, not meaning my words.
"You'll see," she darkly traced her gaze across my legs. "Wait til we get home."
"My stuff, I'll have to move out of somewhere yet again," I sighed, breaking up the moment. Suddenly I was too shy to challenge Teyanne. It seemed like she had changed slightly than when we had first met. Before she was more playerish and flirty, but I'd happily like to say (and my kitty too) that she had crossed the line to sexy and mysterious.
"Don't try to change the topic- and we'll get all of your stuff out soon."
"What's the topic? What's the question?" I asked her innocently.
"How many minutes does it take to make Lilli cum?"
