I picked up the tablet slowly and activated it. A chat box appeared and it seemed to connect with the rest of SP7.

I glanced around the room to make sure nobody was around. Fear overtaking me. I sat down and felt Sugi curl up in my lap.

I typed into the chat, despite being slightly afraid. What if this was wrong though?

'Cib, come get me. Please,' I typed quickly. I hit send and hid the thing under my pillow, Incase someone came in.

Someone appeared and I saw Janet. She sat down next to me.

"You know you have to trust us right?" She asked after a moment of silence. I absently ran my hand down Sugis back.

"What? Can you read my thoughts now?" I asked, actually unsure if it was possible. Could it be?

"Steve, seriously. I don't have to read your thoughts to know you're scared. To know you don't fully trust us,"

"Can they give me my real memories back?" I asked the question that was bothering me. I wanted to know, what the hell happened to me?

"They think so. Autumn has an idea. I can't wait for you to be saved," she whispered. She placed her hand on my back and I leaned into the touch.

"And what if I'm not. What if I get stuck here instead?" I said, scared something would go wrong.

"Then we'll all be right here," she responded. I saw her vanish and wondered who would help me. And what they were like. A response.

'I'm sending someone. Trust them,' was all it said. I wanted to hug something close. Preferably a person.

My thoughts raced in fear. What if I didn't know who it was? What if I fucked this up? What if I got stuck here?

I wanted nothing more than to just quit. Just give up. Die preferably but I couldn't. My team needed me.

Were they even alive? Of course not, they were god damn ghosts. But what would it be like if they were alive? And could I ever remember them?

I tried to keep myself calm, hopefully that person would be here soon. All of a sudden Sugi popped up from my lap and barked at the door.

It opened and a man in black came in. A cat hybrid by the looks of it. He flashed me a smile and greeted the dogs.

"Come on Steve. I'm Sleepy. I hope you trust me," he said, I knew exactly what he was here for. He came to save me.

"The dogs?" I asked and he laughed. He winked at me and led me down a hallway, to a dropship. The dogs thankfully followed me closely and I found myself picking Little Foot up.

I hugged him close to my chest and saw Sleepy pick up Sugi. She started to lick his face and he laughed softly.

Another man was in the ship. He launched it and Jubbs yipped at him in frustration, obviously annoyed he wasn't giving her attention.

"Hey baby girl," he said and picked her up. He turned to face me. "I'm David, Hafus husband," he explained as his dog kept close.

"Yeah, and I had to drag his ass here," Sleepy mumbled. "He doesn't really work with us on the submarine. We just needed him for this," Sleepy explained at my confused look.

"Oh. Cib sent you though? Right?"

"Yeah. If Sugar Pine 7 gets to close, then Toast gets an alert. But as far as they know, we're friends," David said. I found myself nodding, not 100% sure that made sense.

"So you guys are dropping me off at Cibs ship?" I asked hopefully. I clutched the tablet under an arm as well.

"Not just yet. Cib wants us to make sure we aren't being followed so we'll head to our ship first. Cib will pick you up from there," Sleepy explained to me. I nodded and sat down on one of the seats.

Hafu appeared and walked over to David. The placed her hands on him but kinda fell through him.

"Hafu, what are you doing?" I asked, forgetting the other two were in here. I wasn't sure if they knew I could see their ghosts.

"Shut up Steve. I was gonna attempt to get David's attention but I think you might have to explain some things," she said and I snapped back.

"Um, Steve? Is Hafu visible?" David asked, an amused smile over his face.

"You guys know about them?" I asked and the cat hybrid nodded to me.

"Yes. Don't worry, go ahead and talk to them. We can't see or hear them but you and Cib can so we aren't surprised," he said to me.

"Ok then. How'd you get that tablet into my room?" I decided to ask her, ignoring everyone else. Hafu leaned against the computer.

"We're ghosts, how do you think? We obviously have a spy on the ship. Duh," she retorted. I glared at her.

"Well then, who is it?"

"I'm not telling you. But once you get to Cibs ship, there's gonna be one hell of a surprise!" She said. I nodded slowly, what the hell did she mean?

"So um, how long is this gonna take?" I asked and looked at David. He stood, unknowingly, next to Hafu.

"About 3 hours. Me and Sleepy are gonna rest a bit. Do whatever just don't mess with the course," David said and yawned. Jubbs curled up with him as he sat down. Sugi cuddled to Sleepy.

I kept holding Little Foot close, him being on my lap made me feel better. Safer.

"Ok, last question. Is there any way to bring you guys to life?"

"You'll see for yourself Steve. Now get some sleep," she ordered and vanished. I wanted contact from a person.

I felt someone take my hand and realized it was DK. He rubbed my back and it felt nice. I closed my eyes from pure exhaustion and let myself sleep.
