I wanted to scream. They shoved me into the ship. I had to find Hafu. The collar around my neck scared me. It was painful.
I paused and peered through the vent I was crawling through. David sat there, with my dog.
"I don't know what that dumbass did, but I'm sure it had to be the reason no one remembers him," I heard David say.
So he was the one that remembered me. I felt myself smile before it faded. And I had to kill Hafu.
I dropped from the vent first. David looked up at me and Little Foot ran over.
"You remember me?" I asked him. He nodded and I dropped to my knees. "Pull the alarms David. Please don't make me hurt her," I said softly. He watched me. Little Foot licked my hand.
"What do you mean?"
"Toast is going to make me kill Hafu. I can't do it. I don't want to do it. Please, pull the alarms," I begged him. He nodded and ran to alert people.
I screamed in pain as the collar buzzed and felt myself shaking again. I ran to find Hafu. I couldn't shoot her. I wouldn't.
I found Hafu and aimed my gun. I couldn't bring myself to kill her and instead shot her stomach.Alarms went off and I stood there shaking and crying. I watched as people came around the corner, coming after me.
I could see Ellum there, he watched me. Confusion on his face. I made no movements. I felt a gun at my head.
"Do it. Please shoot me. Please," I begged softly. David stared at me while Hafu was in his lap. He held her close, Janet and Kimi working to fix her. "SHOOT ME!!" I screamed. I felt myself start to cry. I wanted to be dead.
I shouldn't be alive. I knew who stood behind me. I knew what gun was against my head. And I turned to face it. It was the face I wanted to see when I died. But it seemed different.
I saw my lover. Anger was in his eyes. Hatred and burned rage. He hadn't shot me yet though. I wanted him to
"I don't know what you took from me. But I do know that I don't have mercy," he growled and I saw his finger tighten. It all seemed to happen in slow motion.
I saw the gun move slightly. I felt the pain. All of a sudden blackness overtook me. I was alone, all by myself. I closed my eyes in peace at last.
A bright light made me groan. David sat there with Little Foot, outside the medbay. Dumbdog talking to him.
"So you can't see Ellum?" He asked. David shook his head, confused. He seemed upset and I knew what my dog did.
But Little Foot seemed unable to sense me like he was able the others. What happened to them?
"No. Guess not. But Little Foot seems to not either," David said and rubbed my dogs head. I reached out and focused on being visible. David still didn't see me.
"Ok. We've asked this like 100 times, who did he belong to?" Dumbdog asked. I reached out and touched my lovers shoulder. David just frowned.
"Steven Suptic. Not that it's important anymore," he muttered the last part, but Apollo's dog senses picked it up.
"It isn't?" He asked in confusion. David moved his eyes to the floor. He seemed upset and confused
"You just shot him," a sigh escaped David's mouth. He got up and walked away. I looked down at my hands. See through basically. Ellum walked through me. He didn't see me.
"Ellum!" I called out. Was I invisible to him to? Who could see me? I followed. What happened to make them unable to see me?
I found Hafu in the medbay. Her brother stood next to her. He held her hand.
"I'm glad you're ok Hafu. Do me a favor and don't scare me like that again," he said and Hafu giggled.
"Well, if it bothers you that much," she said with a slight teasing tone. I was faced with Janet and Kimi.
"I can't believe Toast came after Hafu. Or, sent a new one to do it," Janet was saying. I walked over. I wanted to hug her.
"I can't believe he was begging to be shot. Did you see the collar?" Kimi asked. I saw them looking at something and realized it was my body. I looked away
"Poor boy, he was forced into it," I heard Janet mumble, take it to be her to worry about someone she doesn't remember.
Cib, James, and Alfredo stood in the control center. None of them spoke, did they remember me?
"I don't know how they knew where we were, but we need to move. James, plot a course," Cib ordered.
"I can't believe they tried to kill Hafu," Alfredo said in quiet shock. Cib glanced at him before locking eyes with James
"Toast has his reasons, but that man. I can't shake the familiar feeling," Cib spoke. He knew me he just didn't remember.
Just like everyone else.
"Maybe you just need some rest," James said. Cib nodded and left the control center. Koji sat there with Ellum. Or ghost Ellum.
"I can't believe they killed you," Koji said softly, tears fell from his eyes and I wanted to hug him. I wanted to make sure he was ok.
"You know what's funny? That man, he tried to stop them. He knew who I was," Ellum whispered while he brushed the tears away from Kojis face.
DK and Scott sat there. Neither saying a word.
"You know, it sucks. I really have to get a partner," DK said. Scott smiled and laughed slightly.
"What? You gonna be the dumbass duo?" Smajor teased. DK rolled his eyes and pulled Smajor to his chest.
"Nah. That's me and Dumbdog. If I had a partner then we'd be the dumbass trio with me and them being the two stupidest," DK said softly.
"I'm sorry Little Foot. Steve?" David asked.
"I'm here! I'm here! I promise I'm here!" I called out. David and Little Foot looked around the room.
"Guess he's not here,"
Dumbdog stood alone in his room. No words were spoken. He didn't turn around to see me. He didn't know who I was.
"He took something important from me. But what was it?" Apollo asked himself finally. I reached out to him and cried as it faded to black.
I looked around until I saw a white light. Knowing I didn't get a choice, I headed that way slowly
