So Wrong, It's Right (Louis)

Chapter 9

 "Where did your arse run off to, Malik?" I asked myself as I drove down another dark road, letting out an annoyed sigh. My annoyance wasn't just from whatever Zayn had done. It was also with Liam and the fact that I actually wanted him to believe me for once. 

I turned onto the next street and turned my headlights on to the brightest to see if I could spot Zayn walking around. I was able to find someone walking with their head down so I decided to follow whoever it was. If it wasn't Zayn I'd just speed past them, annoyed that I couldn't even find my own best friend.

As I got closer to the unknown person I could eventually tell that it was the lost bastard I was looking for. I pulled up next to him and rolled my window down to shout at him for stealing the fun I wanted to have otu of my night. Before the words could even leave my mouth they vanished when I saw that Zayn was holding his hand over his eye. I had no idea who would even be able to punch Zayn but I was going to find out.

It honestly couldn't have been Niall. He's not the type to fight back at all. I didn't even think the boy knew  how to even defend himself. If he did, then maybe I could figure out what made him snap so I could do the same thing to my father. 

"Get your dumb arse in the car." I told him without any emotion as I unlocked the doors of my car. I let out a sigh as Zayn didn't say a word to me as he accepted my offer. 

I studied the side of his face, keeping the car stopped in the middle of the street. The skin around his eye was red, along with the white of his eye. My anger and annoyance was still laced over the surface of any other emotion I could ever feel. Zayn's dealt with me that way before and he had an attitude of his own so I wouldn't be surprised if one of us ends up throwing the next punch to the other. 

"So, after I tell you to leave the water boy alone, you decide to completely ignore me and pick a fight with him anyway? You do know that Liam and Harry were at this party right?" I shook my head in disbelief. I don't know what was going on in Zayn's head that he needed to publicly torment Niall tonight. It was a foolish move on his part and I was going to make him well aware of that."

Zayn's hand dropped from his face and I could see the way his jaw was now clenched from the reflection of my headlights outside. "What's your problem? It's not like you're the one who got punched in the face by Harry in front of everyone." He scoffed before his hand rolled into a fist, his fingers shaking as he uncurled them and then combed angrily through his hair. 

I was stunned at what I heard Zayn say to me but then I couldn't help but to let out a loud laugh. It was actually funny to me now. "Harry? Harry Styles punched you in the face? Sorry, but I'm calling you a liar." I chuckled again as I started driving again and then I ignored as Zayn punched me in my shoulder.

"I'm not fucking lying. He's been quite threatening 

"Harry's being threatening?" I asked him, still not believing him for a second. I knew that Harry's been different lately because he's now on team Water Boy, and completely against me now, but I never imagined him actually punching someone. 

I let out a sigh as I drove towards the direction of where I lived. "Tell me what happened. I wasn't gone for that long and you somehow managed to get Harry to knock you off one in the face."  Actually, I was. I got distracted with messing about with Liam. Zayn would probably only care to hear about that if I actually done more damage to Liam than I already have. We both get that Liam's only upset with me. He doesn't hate me yet. 

I heard a small sinister chuckle escape from Zayn's lips just before his tongue swept over them. "I was just finishing what Liam so kindly interrupted me from doing. Then Harry got himself involved and punched me in the face. Now, I'm going to be wearing a black eye and people are going to be chatting around about it until it blows over."
