I tried to be my normal self, my normal bullying self. I think it worked because I managed to get Harry to swear at me and he barely does that. That's how I know I was able to get under his skin. Plus, I also made another one of my usual jokes about how badly Niall wanted to go down on Harry. It was just too easy so all I could do was keep at them.

I had absolutely no idea that morning was my last time telling one of my jokes to Niall.

Nobody's ever really seen what I look like when I'm completely terrified. They also don't have clue how I react to my fears. That morning a lot of people watched as I let fear rush through me and then I was able to cover it up, making my face a stone-cold stare.

That day Zayn and I were called down to the principals office. That's all we were told but we both knew what was about to happen to us. Zayn and I met in the hallway, Zayn staring at me as he was both wildly angry with me and very disappointed in himself for how he let himself help make things get so far, maybe even too far. We didn't speak to each other because we both knew that this was going to be the end of a bad thing and the start to an extremely bad thing.

The door to the office was opened for us and I couldn't help but stop when I saw the coach standing in the office with both Harry and Liam. There was no way that I'd be able to tell a lie through this one now. Niall had so much support on his side and they were all destined to take us down.

There was also the school's appointed police officer standing off to the side, who made everything else seem even more real, more final.

"Thank you for bringing this to our attention, boys. You're both free to go back to where you're supposed to be now. I will let your teachers know that your lateness will not be accounted for if you have lessons at this time." The principal told them.

Harry walked out first, not even looking to either of us. I think he was really proud of the fact that Zayn and I were here now and getting what we always deserved.

Before Liam walked out, he stopped and looked at me, studying me for a moment and I couldn't help but look over to him. He was now part of watching the bullies get their punishments, something he didn't get the chance to see the first time. I hope Liam's bullies from all those years ago were miserable.

"Liam, go on now." Coach repeated to him, which Liam obeyed.

The principal cleared his throat. "Do I need to ask you boys why you think you've been called in here or are you going to try to act innocent?" The question wasn't addressed to us to be answered and we both kept quiet.

I was extremely nervous, my guilt kicking at me so I could feel the doom that was meant to surround me for the rest of my life now. I felt like my entire body could shake and I could get ill right in the principal's office. I couldn't focus on anything else but the man who was about to dish me my life's sentence for being such a cruel kid to another who never deserved my wrath.

"We take bullying very serious, gentlemen, and based on what I've heard from your teammates and your coach, I have no choice but to expel the both of you from the school and that also means that you are no longer on the school's football team for your wrongdoings." He spoke calmly but I could tell that he was furious. "As of now no criminal charges have been filed against wither of you but that's all up to Mr. Horan."

I swallowed, hoping that my father would be able to keep his anger controlled appropriately. He was going to think I was worse than pathetic and have no problem telling me that I was.

"Now, your parents have been called to come and pick you up. So, go and grab your things from your lockers and drop them off in the office." He said, being very brief about everything and I couldn't help but think of his as the calm before the storm.
