"Nope, you're wrong." I announced as I tried to hold back my chuckle and looked up at Liam, who wasn't sharing in my amusement.

He shook his head and then ran his fingers through his hair in frustration. "Lou, my exams start tomorrow. Did I really get it wrong or are you messing about with me?"

My lips twisted as my eyes read over Liam's scribbled notes. I had a difficult time making out what some of the words were and I already went through with telling him how horrific his penmanship was. He wasn't keen on that either but my ability to help him study was even worse.

I was a little nervous about the exams and I wasn't even going to be taking them like I could have if I wasn't such a terror to people who didn't deserve it. This feeling was because I knew that there was a good chance that Liam was going to go off somewhere else and I was going to be stuck here. Yeah, we have the few months in between but I didn't want to have great moments only to lose the one I made them with.

I let out a sigh. "No, you're correct." I mumbled sadly.

Then I looked up, feeling suddenly annoyed when I heard Liam chuckling. I pushed his notes aside, wanting to throw a little tantrum and let the papers fall into a mess on the floor. That only made Liam actually bark out a laugh.

His crinkled eyes quickly relaxed, his lips rounding off with an exhale so he could make himself stop laughing. I was ready to lean over and punch him in the arm,  but not like a proper one we've shared in the past. I didn't actually want to cause physical harm to Liam.

He lightly shook his head before speaking to me again. "You were the one who wanted to help me by kissing me until I get an answer right. I'm not going to apologise for you not getting your way."

I crossed my arms defensively over my chest. "Maybe I was hoping that you were stupid."

A breathy laugh snorted from his nose before he moved over to sit next to me instead of across. His arm came around my shoulders and he gently pulled me into him, his hand stroking lightly up and down my arm. It's funny to me know that this sort of touch from Liam was driving me insane.

"Is something bothering you, Lou? As much as I know you enjoy our banter, I also know when you're trying to cover up your feelings when you don't want to feel them." He said, brushing a kiss to my temple, his lips remaining against my skin until I let out my own long exhale. Then Liam pulled away and looked down to me, his fingers continuing to soothe my arm and letting me know that I could be comfortable and trusting with Liam.

That wasn't necessarily a problem for me much anymore but I still had my moments where I dealt with myself in ways I've learned actually worked in the past. That was going to be a tough habit to break.

"I just know that being with you isn't going to happen as much once you pass your exams and go off and pretty much get an entire new life." I left out the 'without me' part but I knew Liam would catch onto that right away. I looked up and blinked at Liam, whose brow was furrowed.

He nodded his head. "Yeah, we won't get to see each other all the time but I'm not going to drop you out of my life, Louis. You were the one who was asking me if we were boyfriends. I still want to work up to that. I'm not leaving you, Louis. I don't want you to think that I am or that I want to. It's going to suck saying goodbye to you but it's not forever."

"You could easily meet all these cool people, another bloke you'll like, and realise I'm just some tosser going nowhere." I said, loosely waving my hand around to make my point.

"I've never been intrigued by someone as much as I've been by you. Yeah, we've haven't always seen eye to eye and there was all that shit you've put Niall through but there was never a moment where I knew I was going to abandon you."
