Chapter 18

The end of an ear

Every good thing has to come to an end and the next day it was time to day goodbye. We were gathered in the common room ready to say goodbye. I was aware, that the only Marauder alive in my lifetime was Remus.

First, I approached Marlene and Lily. We hadn't been too close, but whenever I needed a break from boys, I had joined them gossiping about everyone. Lily wasn't as innocent as she looked. Even though she would never admit it, but she loved to hear the latest gossip. I hugged both girls.

Be careful you two, I tell them, Live your life, enjoy the time you've got. I'll miss you., I hug the blond and the ginger once more before turning to Remus.

See you in 19 years, I say hugging him.

Next up is Sirius, I'll miss you tampon, take care of your brother, I say hugging him tightly.

Remember the once that love us never truly leave us, Sirius smiles sadly.

Last one before James is Peter. Goodbye Petes. Remember it is better to die than betray your old friends, I warn him.

Finally, it is James' turn. I hug him tightly. I'll miss you James, I whisper now finally letting all the tears run down, that I had tried to hide desperately.

I love you y/n, never forget that, James replies kissing me one last time.

I love you too, I answer.

Farewell my love, James smiles sadly with that I turn around leaving to say goodbye to one last person. I haven't told him, that I was leaving, but it was so hard to say goodbye to him. Regulus had seen me as a big sister figure asking for hep with girls and other problems from home.

Quietly I wave Regulus over, telling him to follow me to the astronomy tower.

What is it y/n?, Regulus as soon as we reach the tower.

I'm going back to my time, I come straight to the point.

What? When?, regulus asks.

In half an hour, I reply.

Will I ever see you again?, Regulus asks hope sparkling in his eyes.

No, you- you are dead in my time, I answer my voice shaking.

Oh, is the only thing Regulus says.

Regulus I love you like a brother, please stay save I will never forget you, I continue.

I love you too, big sister, he replies hugging me tightly, tears falling down his cheek.

don't cry baby, I shush him whipping away his tears, Goodbye brother.

Quickly leaving the tower to not show Regulus my own tears I finally arrive at Dumbledore's office.

Ah, good evening Miss y/l/n, now that you have arrived, we can immediately start, Dumbledore greets me. I just nod. Now touch the vase, Dumbledore tells me and adds, You will be arriving exactly 4 months after you leaved. I touch the vase, and everything starts to spin.

A few seconds later I am standing in Dumbledores office.

Ah, there you are, your friends have been waiting for you, Dumbledore greets me. As soon as I enter the common room a familiar bush of hair blocks my vision.

y/n where have you been? Dumbledore said something about time travelle. God, how much I've missed you. You've missed so much, Hermione tells me wrapping her arms around me.

Bloody hell, let the girl breathe Hermione, my Ginger friend Ron weasley tells the girl hugging me.

Suddenly Harry enters, holding another redheads hand. Ginny. We awkwardly stare at each other. Well it didn't take him long to move on, but then again neither did it take long fir me to fall for James. Maybe the Potters had a thing for redheads. Euphemia also had red hair.

Hello Harry, I greet him awkwardly.

Hello y/n, he replies equally as awkward.

Let's sit down and y/n can tell us where she has been, Hermione tries to break the tension between me and Harry.

We all sit down.

I've been in 1976, I start.

You mean the time my dad went to school?, Harry asks suddenly interested.

Yes, I went to school with the Marauders and Lily and Marlene. I was very close friends with them, I reply.

So how were they?, harry asks.

Well Sirius was gay, just like I always told you. He was dating Remus. James, James was just perfect with his chocolate brown eyes and his curly hair, I drift off.

Were you and Harry's dad dating?, Hemione asks.

Yes, No Harry and I were reply at the same time.

Bloody hell, Ron mutters.

What?, Harry asks.

Well, thats awkward, Hermione mutters.

One question, I ask, What happened to Peter Pettigrew?.

You know I don't like talking about it. He was tortured until he was too week to use occlumency, that's how they found out my dad's whereabouts. Since they also had caught Sirius and Sirius was the only one found near Peter he was locked up, harry replies annoyed.

Ok, I reply secretly smiling to myself, I'll be going to bed.

One week later I met up with Remus.

Hello old friend, a much older looking Remus greets me.

Moony, I reply hugging him tightly.

Before we talk, James wanted me to give you this, Remus tells me handing me a piece of paper.

Deer y/n,

If you are reading this, it is a prove, that Remus has the best memory in the world and that you are now back in your time.

I'm writing these almost 4 years after you leaved. Let me tell you this, I bloody miss you love. Lily and I now are married. I love her but I also love you. I don't know how this makes sense. There is this guy, he calls himself the Dark Lord. He is gaining more and more power. Marlene has gone into hiding and everyone is scared.

But there is hope in these dark times. Lily is pregnant. Can you believe it? It's a boy. I am going to be a dad! I am so happy right now; I just wish you were here.
