Gon was excited. He had finally caught the Master of the Swamp, a giant fish said to be mythical. Some said that the fish itself even brought good luck. But that wasn't what Gon was excited about. He had made a deal with his aunt that if he were to catch the fish, then he could leave home to search for his father. Gon had never known his father as he was found abandoned. The only thing left with him was a note. As the note told of his first and last name. But it also said that once the boy left home he was to search for him and how he had a great role to play in the world. His now aunt and great-grandma took him in and raised them as their own. Aunt Mito explained to him that when she found Gon she knew something was special about him.
And so now here Gon was taking one last look outside his window into the starry night. It was the last night he would be spending at Whale Island. Just then Gon's door creaked open and his aunt walked in.
His aunt smiled and shook her head, "Can't sleep?"
Gon sat up and smiled sheepishly, "No..."
Mito walked over to his bed and sat at the foot of it. "I have an idea. How about I tell you a story? Besides, it will be the last time I tell you one till you get back."
Gon grinned as he loved his Aunt Mito's stories, "Okay!"
Mito smiled and pinched his cheek, "Okay, what story do you want?"
Gon then thought long and hard before choosing one. There were so many that he couldn't pick. Just then Gon thought of his favorite one. "Can you tell me the story about the god Killua?"
Mito chuckled, "You ask me to tell you that all the time."
"I know," Gon smiled, "But every time you tell it to me I get this really weird feeling in my chest."
"Oh really?" His aunt quirked
"Yeah! It makes my heart squeeze but also makes me want to cry..." Gon explained
His aunt smiled, "Ok then..." As his aunt started Gon smiled settling down in his bed, "There once was a young and naive god named Killua. They say he was a very mischievous god who loved to prank others. But one day he met a lovely boy who lived in a house surrounded by flowers. They said this boy was a kind soul that everyone loved. And as this boy picked flowers he caught the attention of Killua. Killua came down and disguised himself as a human to meet
the boy. Once their eyes met it was love at first sight. And from that day on the two fell in love with each other."She continued, "But tragedy struck as Killua's family, The Zoldycks found out about Killua's lover. So they sent down their eldest son Illumi, the God of Death, to get rid of Killua's lover. And one day as his lover picked flowers, Illumi shot the needle of death right into Killua's lover's heart. They said Killua found his lover dying in the flower field. As the young god held his dying lover in his arms he cried. Thunder and rain crashed as the god was enraged and saddened by his dying lover. And as Killua's lover held his face they made a promise to each other. That one day they'll meet again, and next time they'll spend eternity together..."
Before Gon knew it he fell asleep right at the end making his aunt chuckle. Mito leaned over and kissed his forehead before getting up.
As she closed the door she smiled, "Good night Gon, sweet dreams..."

'Huh? Where am I...?', Gon thought as he opened his eyes. Then a voice chuckled above him, the voice echoed softly as it spoke, "Did I wake you, love?"
Gon didn't know why but the nickname made his heart flutter and he smiled, "No..."
As his eyes adjusted to the light he saw he was lying on a young boy's lap. The boy had fluffy and unruly hair, but Gon couldn't manage to make out his face. But strangely despite not being able to see the boy's face Gon felt a sense of calmness. He sighed and closed his eyes before opening them. To his surprise, the scenery changed. He was now laying on the boy's lap under a dark sky. Harsh rain fell onto Gon as he peered up at the boy.
