Gon sat up yawning. A bright yellow moon shined through the window of their sweet. He rubbed his eyes and looked at his side where Killua peacefully slept. Gon slowly got out of bed and walked out to the balcony. He sighed as he leaned against the rail. Gon closed his eyes taking in the peacefulness. Gon opened his eyes and looked at his hands. If Gon wanted to protect Killua he would have to learn what his 'power' was. So Gon focused on his hand hoping that something will happen. After a few minutes, Gon sighed. Nothing happened. He tried again to no avail. This time he clenched his fist and squeezed it. Focusing on his fist he thought he saw a golden spark.

He tried again but nothing happened. Gon slightly groaned. Maybe he was just seeing things. With all his memories Gon remember everything. Even how death felt like. It was cold, very cold. He couldn't see or feel anything. He wasn't distressed just tired. But he also remembered his next life and how it felt to return to it, Returning to the physical world was warm. A bright warm light. Gon closed his eyes remembering that warm light. As Gon opened his eyes he saw he was surrounded by a golden aura. It was warm like the sun. Suddenly he heard a creak and the aura vanished.

Killua yawned as he spoke, "What are you doing?"

Gon smiled, "Couldn't sleep."

Killua walked over and hugged Gon, "You're warm."

Gon giggled as he hugged Killua back, "We should go back to bed huh?"

Killua mumbled something which Gon took as a yes. Making their way back to bed Kilkua snuggled up to Gon. "Warm," Killua mumbled again

Gon smiled faintly, "I love you..." Killua squeezed him slightly in response as he was too tired to reply. Gon yawned as he closed his eyes. He was oblivious to the pair of eyes watching him.

"My my...," Hisoka chuckled watching from the roof of another building, "So you're who Illumi is after..."

After all this time Hisoka still remembered the moment Illumi left him. It was a recurring memory that came to him constantly. Hisoka was fully conscious that night. He knew what he was doing. And he did it before. As the god of lust it was only natural he had cheated on his spouse. The desire for lust came naturally to him. Hisoka of course felt nothing of it. Illumi seemed fine with it and that was his excuse. But over time Hisoka started to gain feelings for Illumi. Hisoka himself was bewildered by this. Him, in love? It was out of this world.

Yet he was not the god of love. And that night Hisoka had a plan. Illumi had never seen him in the act, so curiosity got the better of Hisoka. He wanted to see some kind of emotion in Illumi's eyes. He wanted more of Illumi. More of him was willing to hurt him in the process. This was the love that manifested in Hisoka. As love itself can be poisonous and wicked. His desire for Illumi was what broke them. What he got from Illumi wasn't enough, he wanted more. And what Hisoka wanted from Illumi was some kind of emotion. Love. He wanted love from Illumi.

So on the night, he knew Illumi would come he purposely brought one of his servants into bed with him. And the phrase 'curiously killed the cat', perfectly fits what happened next. Illumi in a blind rage killed everyone in the building and almost Hisoka. And for the first time, Hisoka saw the emotion in his eyes. Sadness and tears flowed from Illumi's eyes. Hisoka was shocked by this. He didn't want that. He didn't want to make Illumi sad.

Hisoka chased after Illumi grabbing his hand, "Illumi! Please wait!" Illumi paused not uttering a single word. "Forgive me! I promise I will never do this again."

Illumi turned around to look at Hisoka. And instead of the cold dark eyes, Hisoka was so used to staring at, they were glossy with emotion, "I waited to see if you'd stop. I told myself I didn't care, but I guess I did. I hate what I'm feeling right now. I feel disgusting. I told myself I wouldn't fall in love, but I did. You are making me weak."
