I have an idea

We're all at the field conditioning since Miss. Mackay cancelled our practice. I'm sitting out because I was told I'm not aloud to do any physical activity, which apparently includes stretching. Aspen sat with me because she was too tired from last nights practice.

"It's not like we couldn't use the conditioning." Emily shrugged. "Speak for yourself, babe." Dean looked over at the girl. "Her name is Emily not babe." Adam defended her stepping up to Dean and pushed him a little. "Hey! He's right." I pushed Adam back after he tried to push Dean again. "Move." He tried to push me away. "Don't touch me!" I yelled shoving him back.

"Don't touch her, man!" Larson jumped up and push him back away from me while Aspen got up and pushed Adam a bit too.

"Yo, team USA, what're ya gonna do today, a million jumping jacks?" The boy who's been messing with us since our first game yelled at us from the entrance of the field. "I'm gettin sick of you, man." Jesse complained yelling at the boy.

"I'm gettin sick of seeing the USA represented by a bunch of whining babies. The only one who knows actually play is Anderson over there and she's injured, so y'all are in deep shit." He shouted making me nod in agreement. "I like this kid." I smirked while Jesse rolled his eyes.

"Too bad you can't back up that mouth." He said turning back to the boy. "Me and my boys can take you anytime, anywhere."

"I don't see no boys."

"I got em waitin. Grab your gear and let's go play some schoolyard puck. Or maybe you forgot what it's like to okay for real pride." He said before getting kicked out by security. "I can't even play, but I'm going anyway. See ya." I grabbed my bag and ran towards the entrance and the rest of the team got their stuff and followed.

-

"I can't believe you guys knew them!" Averman said excitedly as we waved to Russ and his friends. "Well, when you make your camp counselor take you to get some actual good food, and her car breaks down on then side of the road, you make some friends." I shrugged getting onto the bus.

"Yeah, it was a fun time." Aspen smiled at the memory. "We almost hit a deer on the way back because you screamed bloody murder that they forgot your drink. And then the car swerved all over the place." Connie said blankly staring at the girl.

"Sh, sh. We don't talk about that." Aspen shushed the girl making me laugh. "Just like we don't talk about the time you and Scarlett abandoned the little kids swim class and they almost drowned?" Connie crossed her arms sassily making me stop laughing. "Exactly." I stated sitting down next to Aspen. "Whatever." Connie sighed sitting next to Guy.

We're all getting ready to play, well accept for me, and coach still isn't here. Charlie and Guy have taken Larson under their wing. It's kind of awkward because Adam used to hang out with them but since the whole incident Charlie and Guy are pissed. Jesse told me he'd try and accept the fact that I had invited our old enemy here, but I know Jesse, it's gonna take time.

We had to call Miss. Mackay on as our coach, because by the time we were all ready to play, coach still wasn't here.

I never really got a chance to talk to anyone about what had happened. I still can't grasp the fact that my father, isn't actually my father.

I don't if I should feel relived or upset, I kind of feel both.

I mean, my father was in no way a father to me, but he was there. Actually, he wasn't, neither was my mom now that I think about it. It's always been Bombay. It makes sense why he was always offering me rides, asking about my family, all that stuff. I always thought he was weird or something, but turns out he was just interested I guess.

I sat on the bench and helped Miss. Mackay coach. I mean, it's the least I could do. I wish I could go out there and help the team. It doesn't help that Emily is on the bench the whole game.

Let me tell you, this girl finds a way to complain about everything. But, Julie being here really helps, she's like my emotional support human. Although, she should definitely be out there playing right now.

"I'm surprised you didn't knock her out yet." Julie shook her head while I glared at the girl who was whining about a spider in the corner of the bench. "You and me both."

"Aspen sucks, she shouldn't even be out there. That should be me!" Emily complained flailing her arms around. "I'd agree with you, but then, well, we'd both be wrong." I look at the girl who just groaned and turned back to the game.

"Is she always like this?" Miss. Mackay whispered to me and Julie. "Unfortunately." Julie mumbled making the woman sigh. "Oh dear." The woman  sighed rubbing her temples.

A duck whistle echoed through the arena and we all look around to find coach making his way to the bench. "Look who finally decided to show up. Y'know, we were gonna be booted if Miss.Mackay wasn't here to save our asses." I said making him look over at me and sigh.

"I was wrong. And I'm sorry. I forgot about the team, and the team is all I have. All I want is another chance, just one more shot. I'm back, okay? Believe me." Bombay convinced us all and shortly, we were back in the game.

We won against Germany, 8-2. I didn't feel as accomplished as every other game since I wasn't able to play, and I hated it. I can't believe I have to sit through that again.

After our game, there was another going on so I decided to go and watch it. Hopefully it would help me get rid of my thoughts. I can't spend a lot of time doing absolutely nothing, because that will cause me to think about everything. And I can't do that right now.

-

It was around halfway through the game and I felt someone sit next to me. "You can't just sneak out and not invite me." I looked over to Alex who was sitting himself down with two drinks. "Oh, here." He handed me one, "Uh, what are you doing here?" I questioned grabbing the water out of his hand.

"I could ask you the same thing, but did I? Nope."

"Whatever, just shut up and let me watch this in peace." I turned back to the game and we sat for awhile. It wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be, thank god.

"I have an idea." Larson piped up turning to look at me. "What may that be?" I asked while my eyes were glued onto the people on the ice. "You wanna get Banks jealous? Date me." He smirked and I just smiled. "Good one, Larson. When did you get so funny?" I laughed but when I saw he was being serious I stopped.

"Holy shit- you're serious?"

"Well, yeah. It won't be real, just a little fun...project." He shrugged turning back to the game in front of him. "What's in it for you anyway?" I asked curious at what he's trying to do. "You." He smiled sarcastically making me roll my eyes.

"And seeing Banks pissed is just a plus." He added on with a sly smirk.

"I don't need to make him jealous, we're over." I responded crossing my arms. "Okay, but don't you wanna see him mad? It'd make up for everything he did."

"I guess." I thought about it. "Oh, fuck it. Alright, yeah. Why not?" I sighed and he smiled excitedly. "No gross couple shit, though. I will actually kill you in your sleep." I glared at him making him nod quickly. "Alright, alright." He held up his hands defensively.
