The Paths

When you went inside, you were too tired to even admire the inside. You just wanted to find your room and go to sleep. You went up the stairs and looked for your room. "Armin said right side, all the way down, and on the left." You mumbled to yourself. You eventually found your room and your bag was in it. "Connie... your a fucking saint, I don't deserve you." You whispered. You took out a your towel, T-shirt and shorts, then went to go take a shower. After you got out, you flopped on your bed and passed out.

About 3 hours later, the sun had set and everybody started waking up from their naps. You woke up after your text notification went off. You thought it was from Connie or Sasha because of what happened earlier but it wasn't.

Amari Baxter:
So you really left without saying nothing?

     You blinked at your phone twice. "This nigga can't be serious." You thought to yourself. Connie came in. You turned to him. "You don't know how to knock?" You said with a bit of attitude. Connie looked at you confused. "Who you mad at little girl?" He said, raising a brow and crossing his arms. He saw your phone and took it from you.

"Connie, stop playing nigga. Give it backkk..." you said reaching over his shoulder but he held you back. "Ohhh... who's this Amari?" He said still holding you back. "Why you left with out saying nothing?" Connie said as he read the text. You grabbed the phone from him. "I left without saying nothing cus it wasn't his business." You said, swiping the message away. "And who IS he exactly?" Connie said, looking back at you. "If you must know nosy nigga, he's somebody I used to know." You said, laying back down.

Connie laid next to you. "NAWWWW, I've heard that shit before. He yo ex?" He said chuckling. "Actually naw. He used to be one of my closest friends." You said. "Buttttt?" Connie said, motioning you to finish. "He caught feelings and I rejected him. I wasn't in the right place mentally. I thought we was cool but then he got with my ex girlfriend then everything went downhill from there." I said. "Mhm, mhm, continue." Connie said. He was invested.

"He started acting weird. He'd make excuses up to not be around me, he and a group of people I thought were my friends gravitated away from me. My mental health started to get really bad and I started to cut myself more. Eventually leading to attempted suicide. Everything that went on in that time was a lot." You explained. Connie nodded and continued to pay close attention. "I eventually stopped worrying about it and moved on. And look at him, almost 3 years later." You said, holding your phone up.

      "Damn... so you not gon answer that?" Connie asked. You shook your head. Connie nodded. "Well everybody wants to go to the waterfall tonight. Armin said to clear some 'tension'." He said, putting up air quotes. "Hmmm... you goin?" You asked. "Yea I'm goin. And you goin too." He said chuckling. You smile dropped. "Boy, I don't know how to swim. And I don't know bout chu but my black ass is not going in the woods at night." You said to him.

"Well it's either you go with us and stay alone when a bear can run up on you at any second-" "A BEARR?!!" You screamed. "MhM~a bear, it's happened before. Or go to the waterfall with everybody else, simple." He said. "Can't a bear be at the waterfall too Connie?" You said. "It's safer to have a bear outside then in a closed space, N/N." He said. You thought about for a second. You rolled your eyes, accepting defeat.

"Attagirl." Connie said, slapping your butt and walking towards the door. "I'll be back in 15 min. Be ready." He said leaving. You let out a loud sigh. "Why I let these crazy people take me here, lord?" You said rubbing your hand over your face. You got ready and grabbed a pool towel from your closet. You didn't know how long you guys were gonna be out there so you were thankful you charged your phone while napping.
