You walked to Connie's house by yourself in the rain. As soon as you got back you stripped and laid down on Connie's bed. You buried your face in the pillows as you did not want to think of crying or think of anything for that matter. You just wanted to go brain dead, even if it was for a split second. Keondra was in the shower and was surprised to see you back so early. She raised an eyebrow and lightly tapped your shoulder. "N/N? Why you back so early, I thought you was gonna be with Eren all day, mama." She said. That took you out.

"I- um... I broke up with him..." you said, trying to force the words out of your mouth and reinforce them onto your heart. Yolanda chuckled. "Girl, stop playing. Why, is it cus you got tired of Historia and Ymir?" She said going on her phone, checking a message from Connie. She noticed you shaking on the bed when she didn't get an answer. She got worried.

"Y/N, your lying." She said as she put her hand on your shoulder. She felt you shaking under her touch and sniffling when she got closer. Her eyes widened and her mouth slowly opened. She grabbed you shoulder and tried to pull you up. You raised your head and looked back at her. She could see your red watery eyes that showed you had been fighting tears all the way over here. Your nose was visibly agitated and your mouth glossed with your saliva as you finally let it out.

"Wah- What happened?" She said as she put on a large shirt and laid next to you. She brought you into her breasts and patted your head as your hands fumbled, trying to grab a hold of her shirt. She was just as confused as Eren was before. Everyone saw paradise instead of you.

"I'm dying Keondra- I don't understand the point anymore! Anything that I had left to live for is GONE. MY TALENT, MY JOY, MY HOPE- my faith... there's nothing left in me. I'm withering away. I don't wanna take Eren with me. He has so much more ahead of him." You explained.

You told Eren it was because he hadn't healed. And you'll let him carry that with him, heal, and move on. Without you. So he doesn't have to watch as the color slowly leaks out of your life.

Keondra held you. "Y/N. That is not true. Please don't think that about yourself, please. Don't say that N/N, it's not true..." she said as she began to get choked up as she slowly digested the sight of you crying out. She's seen you cry, she's seen you bitch and moan about your situations, but never would she have thought to see the day you were ready to give up.

To always have to be strong, To always have to be brave, to always have to look invincible, whether you truly were or not, that's the life you'd been living.

Keondra sunk her head low as she tried to reaffirm you. She cried even more as she felt you getting heavier in her arms. Closer and closer to dead weight. She rocked you side to side as your cries and struggles to breath because quieter and quieter. Until you weren't crying anymore.

Keondra didn't realize until a few moments later because she was in shock, since her own cries crowded the space, that you had stopped moving in her arms and your body was completely slumped.

Keondra panicked as she lifted your face to see your eyes closed and under eyes dark and grey. She whispered "no.." as she checked your heartbeat. She was obviously still a bit shaken from your confession.

Turns out you only had passed out from exhaustion and a fever due to walking in that rainy weather. Keondra gathered herself and set you down to rest. She put a cold rag on your forehead and laid down next to you. She continued to hug you and whisper little prayers, not to any specific power, but to you, hoping you'd hear. She fell asleep next to you as your body awoke in the land of dreams.
