Nobody else came out until an hour later. When they did, Jean and Eren were joking around and clowning on eachother. On the girls side, Mikasa, Historia and everyone else were quiet. Eren and Jean shut their mouths when they saw you, leaning against Connie and your back being rubbed by Keondra. Your eyes sore and red. You made eye-contact with Mikasa. She looked away.

There was nothing she could do or say to make you feel better. Silence was the way to go. Eren approached you. He looked worried. But you couldn't handle him right now.

He saw you were uncomfortable but he didn't care. He notion Connie to scoot over and he did. Eren put his arm around you and brought you close. He whispered in your ear. "Just friends, right? Let me be your friend now."

On any other day you would've knocked him in his shit. But today all you had the energy to say was, "What happened to giving me time?" Yoy whispered loud enough so only he could hear.

He sighed and put his head on yours. "You look like you need a hug. And I know it's selfish of me to want to be one of the ones to give it to you. But I wanna be there. That's one thing I don't want to lose." He said. You weren't gonna tell him what went down with Mikasa, that would cause more drama that you couldn't handle emotionally right now. You put your head onto his shoulder.

If that's he wanted from you right now, to give you a place to put your head when you need somebody, then that was ok with you. He wrapped his arms around you and patted your hair down. "I got you." He whispered to himself, trying not to let you hear but you heard. Keondra smiled but kept it to herself. "Though it's taking a bit longer than usual, yall gon make it." She whispered to herself.

After everybody was ready to go, you guys walked to your camping grounds. It was 20 minutes away so it didn't take long. When you guys got there, Armin started splitting you up into your tents.

Tent A: Armin, Bertholdt, Annie, Ymir, Historia, and Reiner.

Tent B: Keondra, Y/N, Connie, Sasha, Jean, Mikasa, and Eren.

You didn't even know how to feel about that. You sighed. "At least Ymir and Historia ain't in it." Yoh thought to yourself. But who was in It? Mikasa. And you don't even want to look at her. And she too ashamed too look at you. And thankfully you were tired and expected to go to sleep as soon as you got in the tent. You were still a little shaken up but you were good on your own.

Keondra, Connie, and Eren respected that and gave you some space. You used the walk to clear your mind. You needed therapy, for all KINDS of shit. That step back made you realize the shit you went through wasn't normal. You never had the type of childhood where you could sit back and reminisce on kid shit. Every memory you had was filled with some sort of bitter taste. And those were your sweetest memories.

Connie, Eren, and Jean set up the tent. Mikasa sat alone, looking at them struggling but refusing to read directions. You went to a corner spot and sat down. You could see the tent but you were far enough away that they wouldn't bother you. All except Sasha. Sasha came up to you which Trail Mix in hand. You didn't mind she sat right next to you. She continued to munch on the mix while looking up at the sky.

"Whatcha looking for?" She said. You continued looking up. "For a future." You said quietly, continuing to admire the stars. They held every possibility imaginable. And they gave you that answer last night. That it's Eren. And you still don't know why. "Hmm? Shouldn't you be looking down here? What is the sky gonna do? And if your not looking down here, you should st least be looking into your past." She said, handing you the bag. You took some trail mix and laugh.

"Sasha, my past is the last place I should be looking. I'm looking to the future to get away from that." You said. Sasha gave a questioning look. "Huh? Why would you try to run from that?" "Because it's not a child-friendly childhood." You said.
