Chapter 22

(Y/n)'s pov

Today is the day of my audition. Katie is driving me to the audition place.

We arrived and sat in the waiting room. There was a girl auditioning right now for the same part as me.

I am really nervous. I want this part so bad and to be working with Katie and my sister for the first time would be amazing.

I could learn so much from them.

"(Y/n) Mendes." One of the casting directors called.

"Good luck. You can do it babes." Katie said to me before I stood up.

"How'd it go?" Katie asked as I walked out of the room.

"I don't know. Ok I guess."

"I'm sure you did amazing darling. I listened and it sounded great."

"Thank you Katie."

We walked to the car and got in.

We drove and a song came on the radio.

"Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life?
Say yes, say yes, 'cause I need to know.
You say I'll never get your blessin' 'til the day I die." I sang.

"God (y/n). Your voice is so beautiful." Katie said.

I blushed. "You really think." I said facing Katie.

"Yes of course. At your party when you did the karaoke I heard a lot of people saying that you've a beautiful voice."

"Where are we going?" I said realizing that she missed the turn.

"You'll see." She said.

I was just vibing on the music that I didn't realized the car stopped.

I looked out the window and around. "Katie what the hell are we doing here?!" I yelled.

"Camila called me and told that your mom wanted to talk to you." Katie said calmly.

"I don't want to talk to that bitch." I said coldly.

Katie reached for my hand and hold it in hers.

"Love, I'm coming with you. Camila is there too. She can't hurt you."

I sighed. Katie let go of my hand and got out of the car.

"Are you coming or do I have to take you by your ear?" Katie said. Standing in front of my side of the car.

She opened the door and offered her hand.

I took her hand and got out of the car.

We got in the elevator and up to my... eh...Camila's apartment. I don't really live there anymore. I don't pay rent. I currently am just living at Katie's place.

I stood in front of the door. Katie knocked on the door and Camila opened.

She hugged me. "Hii. It's gonna be alright ok. I promise." She said.

We walked to the table where my mom was sitting.

"Hii." She softly said.

"Hey." I answered coldly.

"Be nice." Katie whispered to me.

I took a seat in front of my mother.

"I want to talk to you sweetie." Err her calling me sweetie grosses me out. "Alone." She added.

"No no no, I won't talk to you if Katie can't stay with me." I told her.

"Okay fine."

Katie took a seat next to me and held my hand for support.
