Born from an immigrant Russian family, Haymitch spent most of his life raised in a casino, eventually being drafted into a civil dispute between America and his bloodline's home country. Due to PTSD and his parent's passing, Mitch resorted to alcohol and gambling to drown his sorrows, only to die at his 60's due to his poisoned liver. As Husk lived in Hell and even became an Overlord, his soul was eventually gotten by Alastor to be his reluctant enforcer. He was miserable with his current status, until he met Bendy when the two woke up from a night of booze at Lulu World and a fight with Alastor that resulted in Bendy getting ownership of his soul along with Niffty, giving him some freedom from the wendigo. He may seem like he doesn't care for the Ink Demon and kind of finds him annoying, but he truly is thankful for Bendy's influence on him and does consider him a close friend.
