Marybeth Reilly was an aspiring singer and dancer, going to Louisiana to start off her show business, only to arrive during the economic downfall of the country. There, she met Al Buffay, where the two fell in love and even engaged in intercourse. Marybeth became overjoyed when she discovered she was pregnant, but when she went to tell her love and found out he was a serial killer, she packed up and left for her home in Arkansas. There, she raised her son Benjamin alone as a single mother, struggling though life, but keeping a smile for her son's successes. Though in her old age and dying of Leukemia, she was damned to Hell for atheism, finding her dream as a club singer and even reuniting with not only her son in the afterlife, but her redemption seeking ex-lover.
