~Chapter 25~

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

"Wow (y/n)! You're a lot stronger than before!" Shanks put back his sword again the wall, grinning. "You're doing a great job. You can take the day off." He said.

I wiped away the sweat on my face and took some deep breaths. I glanced at my two hands, covering in Busoshoku haki and smiled in satisfaction. It's all thanks to Shanks's hard training, I'm a lot stronger in such a short amount of time.

After visiting Whitebeard and Ace and saying goodbye to Xebec, me and Shanks went back to our training sessions. Everyday, I woke up early to train with the yonko. And in just two months, I managed to master the Busoshoku haki. I can now cover almost all my body with Haki.

I'm still amateur in using the Kenbunshoku Haki. Learning it is quite difficult and hurtful. I almost got stabbed by Shanks several times.

Yeah, you heard me almost...

These past two months were-- you can say, boring. Sailing from island to island, buying supplies, annoying the crew and pranking them with Yassopp's help, training with Shanks and talking with Doflamingo with the den den muchi... That was my daily routine. At first I was excited , hoping for something extraordinary to happen, like a big fight against the Marines, meeting another big shot.... But to my disappointment: nothing happened.

I really want to test my fighting skills on someone. I can't attack the crew because they will never raise their hands on me. I really want to fight someone besides Shanks!

I shook my head and sighed. Better have a bath and grab my breakfast before Lucky Roo eats everything. Shanks is already in the mess Hall and I can hear him scolding the man for eating his food.

I quickly went to my room and straight to the bathroom. Yeah, my own bathroom. I ordered Shanks to add it to the room because I'm the only girl in the crew and I don't wanna have pervert men stalking me when I have a bath. Thank you very much.

The water was warm and it relaxed my arching muscles. I washed all the sweat from my body, got out of the shower and went to shave my legs.

Finishing with my task, I went to my room with a towel around my body. I decided to wear a beautiful summer dress, then headed to the mess hall where the rest of Shanks's crew were having their breakfast.

I sat down next to Benn and he pulled a plate from under the table. I glanced at Lucky roo and shook my head. "He ate everything, including Captain's food." Come Benn's answer.

I covered my month to stop myself from laughing and began eating my breakfast.

Everything went smoothly. The crew were having fun, teasing each other and playing Poker. I finished eating and went to the crew's nest after stealing today's newspaper from a young rookie. For the past two months, it became my favourite place in the whole ship. No one can bother you up there.

"Let's check what's going on around the world." I mumbled while looking at the different articles and bounties of pirates. To my surprise, I found Eustass Kid's picture at the front page. His picture was so damn cool. He was looking at the camera, his signature smirk on his lips and behind him there was a destroyed marine base. At the corner of the picture, you can find the head of his first mate Killer stabbing a Marine in the chest.

Under the picture, there was a long article talking about Eustass Kid and his different murders, they even talked about his fight with the yonko Akagame no Shanks and how he lost his arm and replaced it with a robotic one, making him more destructive and more aggressive.

He attacked many islands in the New World and destroyed different marine bases. The world government rised the amount of his bounty to 400.000.000 beli.

Haha! My bounty is still higher than his~!

I did a silly victory dance. Thankfully, no one saw me. I sat back down and continued reading the newspaper.

Killer's bounty became 150.000.000 beli which is not bad. That man is really a mystery to me... But he's kinda cute, especially when he eats spaghetti through his mask.

Hehehehe, that moment was hilarious right?

I giggled at my silly thoughts and focused my attention at all the other reports. To my surprise, I found a small one talking about me and my mysterious motives.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. Those disgusting Marines! They're nothing but a bunch of idiots and their Justice is absolutely bulshit.

I hate them with all my heart.

I tossed the newspaper away out of anger and jumped down from the crew's nest. I huffed and cursed under my breath while walking around the massive ship.

The whispers of some rookies caught my attention, I glanced around and saw them at the other side of the ship. Curious, I walked to them and raised an eyebrow when I saw them looking at the sea with a terrified look.

My heart skipped a bit and without thinking, I punched everyone out of my way and looked around. I saw an island at 8 o'clock. But what took my breath away is the fact that the small island is on fire.

I closed my eyes and tried using Kenbunshoku haki. My mind went blank for a few seconds and suddenly, I could feel the different emotions of the pirates around me: they were a mix of fear, panic and suspicion. I panicked a little at first but calmed down later after remembering what Shanks taught me.

"Kenbunshoku Haki can give its user a better sense of almost everything. You can use your will on people around you to understand better their emotions."

'so it worked!' I thought smiling. 'I only need to focus on the island. Please God I hope there's no inhabitants.' I nodded to myself and put all my attention on the burning Island.

"You're doing a great job so far (y/n), but that's enough." A hand fell on my shoulder and I found myself glaring at a smiling Shanks. "I almost succeed you dick!" I screamed.

"No need to use Kenbunshoku. That island is deserted." The redhead patted my back to comfort me.

"Then why it's on fire?!" The rookies shouted, still in panic. Shanks laughed at their terrified-- yet funny faces and replied.

"The grandline is full of surprises huh?" He chuckled. "Well, there's no explanation for why it's like that. That island is called Punck hazard."
