Maya smiled looking at everyone around her while it was her 17th birthday. She couldn't believe that after everything happening to her this was how it was ending. She and Josh were together and happy while she was also pregnant with their first child. She shook her head feeling hands resting on her shoulders while she turned around.
"Here goes nothing, hey? Can't believe everything is changing so fast," Maya said as Josh smiled.
"Nothing about this is fast. I bet you feel like you've been pregnant for 60 billion years and can't wait to give birth to Joshua-Parker," Josh said as Maya smiled.
Lately Josh has definitely been referring to the baby as Joshua-Parker and not just JP which made Maya happy. She loved that her son would have his father's and grandfather's names incorporated into his own name but it also made Maya feel like her biological father didn't have a role in her life anymore. Which wasn't a bad thing for her.
"Yeah I do. I'm glad we decided to leave Kermit out of it all. I really don't even like the thought of him being involved in my life. And I want to keep it that way. Make me a promise. Promise me that we won't ever use anything that would associate our child with him," Maya said as Josh smiled.
"I don't think I would ever use that man's name in my kid's life. Look at all the heartache he's caused you. Let's enjoy the day with our friends and family and forget about that man even existing," Josh said.
"Sounds good to me," Maya said.
