Maya looked at the time as she saw it has been over three hours since Lucas and Riley went on their so-called date.
Maya exhales as she feels how Josh puts his arms around her waist causing her to slightly chuckle.

"Josh, you do know we are in the middle of a camping trip and your niece still isn't back?" Maya asked and Josh smiled.
"Yeah, I do," Josh said giving Maya a kiss in her cheek.
"Let's go and look for her and Lucas," Josh said as they were off.

Maya and Josh started to walk across the beautiful camp reserve as they saw a few animal at a stage completely forgetting that they were searching for Lucas and Riley.
Josh exhales shaking his head as he saw that Lucas and Riley were making out against a tree showing Maya.
Maya smiled as she pulled Josh away from them as they started to walk home.

"You know your father won't always be a sore point for you? One day you'll be able to go on normally," Josh said and Maya nodded.
"I know I will. It doesn't change anything though," Maya said as she and Josh stopped right in front of their cabin.

"Maya, I'm here for you. No matter what. And if you want to break down, I'm not going to run off like your father," Josh said.
"I know, Honey. I'm just still new to this whole relationship thing. In a few days we head back and then summer is over. I've enjoyed all of this but..."
"Me too. And I'm not going to end it very soon. I meant what I said, Maya. No matter what I'm here. Try to stop me," Josh said causing Maya to smile as she crashed her lips into Josh's.

Moving her hand to his curls he threw his arms around her waist pulling her closer to him causing the kiss to go deeper and deeper.
For the first time in her life Maya knew what it meant to have someone and to truly care for someone.
