Maya looked as she was laying on the couch babysitting Auggie and Ava for the afternoon while it seemed like her pregnancy was also slowly coming to an end. She couldn't believe that Josh was nearly 20 and she was also 30 weeks with her pregnancy causing her to think the time just flew by like nothing.
"Maya," Auggie said as Maya looked at the 9 year old boy.
"How do you move forward after losing someone? Like Ava who lost her dad," Auggie said as Maya sat up.
"Ava, are you having difficulties?" Maya asked as she nodded.
"Come here, Sweetheart," Maya said as the 10 year old sat down next to her.
"It will always be hard to come over something like this. I wasn't over it for years but what happened to make me believe in good again was having good friends and an amazing guy by my side. Now you have all your friends but then you also have Auggie. My friends and Josh made me believe in love and hope. Somehow that was all I needed. A guy to believe in me," Maya said.
"I believe in you, Ava," Auggie said as Maya smiled.
"Now take that believe and transform it into hope. Someone has hope in you, Ava. And for all you know. One day you will be able to look back at this and laugh. That you couldn't believe but you were so silly to think you're alone. You're not. Never. You're never alone. And Auggie will always be there," Maya said as she saw the door opening seeing Topanga and Josh.
"I'm abducting my girlfriend for a few hours. Come. Let's go and drink a smoothie at the cafe," Josh said as Maya got her things together.
"Okay. See you kids later," Maya said.
