"Maya, I saw the whole thing with Josh," Riley said and Maya smiled as she threw warm water in a cup.
"What does it matter?" Maya asked.
"Don't trust him entirely. You know all men are actually just the same. Very few are like my father and Lucas," Riley said and Maya looked at her best friend.
Of course Riley was against Maya and Josh being together from the beginning.
Saying Maya will never be her aunt but she knew she just wanted to protect her.
But sometimes she didn't have the best way of doing it.
"Riley, your uncle basically is your father. Don't worry about it. I'm not going to rush into anything," Maya said.
"Still. I would hate if anything happens to you because if my uncle," Riley said and Maya shook her head smiling.
"He'll protect me against anything. I know that," Maya said handing a cup of tea over to Riley.
