Maya exhaled looking for a second at Riley and Lucas.
The boys had decided to bring the girls to some lake near the apartment so if something did happen they were still close to Cory.
Maya moved her attention to the lake in front of her as she had no other idea what to do.

She and Josh didn't talk a whole lot but then also it wasn't like they were super uncomfortable.
The lake was almost empty where the picnic was being held so it was possible for the kids to just relax and talk to each other and they didn't even have to be worried about a huge crowd.

"Do you think Josh even took the time to look at Maya? They are super awkward," Riley said and Lucas looked at Riley.
"Riles, we are supposed to be on a date now you are worried about Maya and your uncle," Lucas said.
"Let's then..." Riley said as she noticed Maya stood up.

Maya exhaled as she threw her phone on the blanket just walking around.
She went down to the lake as the water went over her feet.
Josh looked at the girl before looking at his niece.
He shook his head as he walked down standing next to the young girl.

"What you doing?" Josh asked and Maya smiled.
"Nothing. Couldn't sit down any longer," Maya said as she sat down on the sand.
"Rather you couldn't sit any longer next to me. I know this Sint what you expected. Having our first date being this. Wr promised someday and I wanted to give you a better date than this," Josh said and Maya smiled.
"It's okay, Josh. You couldn't control it . Your brother clearly had different plans," Maya said.
"But he can fortunately nor control what I do," Josh said and Maya looked at him.
"Should I be afraid?" Maya asked and Josh laughed.
"Not at all, Beautiful," Josh said and Maya smiled at the nickname.

Since the two of them had promised someday they have been way more relaxed with each other.
Not just did it mean they were sure how the other felt but they knew it meng that it was just a matter of time before everything would take place.

"Joshua, what is going on? You are acting weird," Maya said.
"I know. I know I am," Josh said looking at the lake in front of them.
"Why?" Maya asked and Josh shrugged his shoulders.

Maya exhaled as she laid her head in Josh's shoulder before he threw his arm around her waist.
They had no idea how they were still okay but they weren't.
They were way more than okay with each other.
