TW: Panic attack

"Stay here," The man said harshly, as he pushed Free into a white room.

"What the hell? Get me out of here," Free yelled.

"Free De La Hoya, you must stay here for the experiment to commence," He began to close the door, what little light that spilled into the room closed off.

"There's nothing wrong with me, LET ME OUT!" The blonde banged the door angrily.

No answer, only a white wall staring at Free.

"I'll kill him when I get out of here," He muttered.

Glancing around, he saw a mirror, a a switch and a piece of paper on the wall.

"May as well get used to this.."

Looking at the piece of paper, Free read the words printed on it.

Turn off the lights by using the switch and stare at the mirror.

Free rolled his eyes. Seriously? This was the 'important' experiment the scientists wanted to do on him?

"Not like I have anything else to do.."

"Ugh.. where's the mirror?" Free mumbled, stumbling around.

As he rammed into the walls, he finally felt a smooth, glassy feel after hitting a certain wall.

  "Must be the mirror."

Free stood in front of the mirror, staring at his vague reflection.

  His reflecion gazed back.

What is this supposed to do anyway?

Free played with his hair and tugged his shirt. What was he meant to do in the first place anyway? Stare at the mirror for eternity?

For a moment, he swore he saw his reflection smirk at him.

"What? I didn't smile," Free raised an eyebrow.

The blonde stopped playing with his hair and paid attention to the mirror.

It was just his imagination, right?

As he continued to stare intesely at the mirror, Free noticed vague black figures began flickering behind him, coming in and out of view.

  "Who-" Free whirled around.

There was nothing but plain darkness, and the glowing switch.

Free turned his head back to the mirror, trembling in trepidation.

  What was going on?

Free's breathing became heavier and quicker, his heart ricocheted against his ribcage. He felt nauseous, and he found it hard to breathe as tears formed in his eyes.

What's happening to me? Why do I feel this way?

Words were repeating in Free's head.

Words that never have circled in his head before.

Not even in other minor experiments.

The dark figures were growing more visible, and Free could see them with ease now.

They were tall and slender, lacking facial features, and were a colour of pure black.

They seemed to be whispering- whispering about Free.

As he looked at his reflection, he felt as he couldn't even feel as if it was him anymore- he almost looked unrecogniseable to himself.

What am I what am I what am I-

An sense of impending doom overwhelmed him, and Free's heart seemed like it was being squeezed by a vice.

Why was he here again? Where was he?

"H-help.." Free muttered, feeling his eyelids grow heavy.

  ...He collapsed not long after.

Experiment cancelled - Subject suffered heart attack after long term exposure to traumatic visions.
