Valentines Day! The day of hearts, chocolates and lovebirds, and a day where the people disgusted by love suffer.
It was pretty clear that it was Valentines Day, just judging by the different pink packaging for food in the grocery stores and people selling chocolate hearts having a long and snake-like queue.
But Shu and Valt weren't going to waste their time on queuing. Baking would be a far better choice when your relationship included a junior Gordon Ramsey.
Shu cracked open eggs and poured in milk as Valt watched his boyfriend in almost amazement.
"How are you still able to do this after all the stuff at the Raging Bulls?" Valt's eyes sparkled.
Shu smiled. "It isn't very hard. It's like how you're able to do so many beyblade battles after training with Hyuga and Hikaru."
"Huh... that makes sense I guess," The bluenette replied. "Mmm... chocolate cookies."
Shu poured in some cocoa powder and glanced at Valt. "I hope we have a great Valentines Day."
"Mhm!" Valt laughed. "Take care of yourself today for me, okay?"
The taller male stirred the mixture as he nodded.
A break from beyblading was usually almost unbearable for the two, but this was a special occasion. They never had a lot of time to spend with each other, considering their busy lives.
Shu placed the tray in the oven (as I said, I've never baked before so idk what to write 😭) and drank a cup of water.
"Cookies!" The shorter male shouted.
Shu took off his apron as he adjusted the heat of the oven. "These should turn out good."

"Mmm..." Valt took a cookie and ate it. "You were right, it does taste good! It probably would have tasted like peanut butter if I tried..."
Shu chuckled at the memory of Valt putting peanut butter in the pasta he was making.
"Well whatever, at least we can spend some time together, finally," Valt smiled, eating another cookie. "It's just a lot of 'crazy' lately, with the Tag Team battle, the Asahi brothers and..."
"Lane? I know," Shu sighed.
"Yeah..." A sad look passed the bluenette's face. "well, take this as a time to relax, okay?"
Relax... some greatly needed relaxation.
