  "Wait, Shu wants to meet up with me tonight?" Valt questioned, surprised since Shu was busy most of the time.

  "Yes, do we need to make it more clear?" Wakiya sighed.

  Daigo smiled. "It'll be nice to spend time with Shu right?"

  "Well...yeah, of course I do!" Valt grinned.

  "C'mon buddy, if you're lucky, Shu might take you to see the firework show!" Rantaro exclaimed.

  "A firework show? I didn't know there was going to be one," Valt looked surprised.

"Yeah!" Rantaro laughed. "Think about it, admiring the fireworks with your best friend.. oh! And maybe you'll get a snack!"

  Light pink blush dusted the bluenette's cheeks "Y-yeah.."

  "A break from beyblade is what both you and Shu need, Shu especially has been overworking too much" Daigo said.

  Rantaro snickered as he noticed Valt's blush. "Hey buddy - why's your face pink?"

  "Wha- uh- Daigo!! What you said, uh, yeah Shu needs a break because he's-" Valt exclaimed, the blush growing more visible.

  "Don't lie, Valt. You've always been bad at keeping secrets." Wakiya cut the short male off, observing his friend having a full-on gay panic

  Rantaro smiled, glancing at the blonde. "That's one thing I can agree with you, Goldilocks."

  "Do not call me Goldilocks!" Wakiya shouted.

  "Well too bad, Goldilocks!" Rantaro rolled his eyes.

  "Guys, stop.." Daigo sighed.

  Valt couldn't here the shouts of his beyclub, absorbed in his thoughts.

  Fireworks with Shu, huh..

  Shu smiled. "Thanks for coming, Valt."

  He looks pretty when he smiles... wait-

"Y-yeah! Of course I would come!" Valt grinned, trying to cover up his blushing.

  Ohmygod why am I blushing-? I'm straight and I definitely don't like Shu, no no no-

  Shu tilted his head a little in concern. "Valt? Is something the matter?"

  "N-no! Not at all!" Valt snapped out of his trance.

  "Come on then," The albino smiled. "the firework show is starting."

  Shu and Valt sat on tall hill beneath a tree, waiting for the firework show to start.

  As Shu used a cloth to polish his beyblade, Valt somehow couldn't take his eyes off of Shu, like a piece of metal attracted to a magnet.

  He just couldn't help but notice how beautiful Shu looked under the moonlight- and oh those eyes- the eyes painted with a crimson shade of red.

  Valt smiled and felt the blush all over his face.

  Ah- no no.. you don't like Shu that way..

  Valt pulled out Valtryek to distract him and stared at his bey, his thoughts wandering to every beybattle he had with Shu.

  "Heh.. Can I even deny it?" Valt whispered.

  Suddenly, a burst of red and orange filled the sky.

  "Valt, it's starting!" Shu pulled Valt closer to him.

  Fireballs of all sizes were shot into the air, leaving behind a ribbon of fire in their wake and finally opening up a dazzling 'flower'.

  Shu's awed eyes were focused on the fireworks, but Valt could only think of how close he and Shu were. Valt looked down and saw Shu's fingers against his own, as if beckoning him to interlock his fingers with Shu's.

  Valt's face heated up, and warmth bloomed in his chest.

  Valt nervously reached out his hand toward Shu's, and slowly wrapped his hand around Shu's hand.

  Shu then glanced down and saw Valt's hand around his.

  "A-ah! I'm sorry.." Valt laughed awkwardly as if nothing happened, shaking his hand away.

  Shu simply smiled and grabbed Valt's hand and continued to watch the fireworks.

  AH-

  Valt's face was burning at this point - But he still felt sleepy.

  Mm... I really want to sleep..

  Valt felt his eyelids closing, and the bluenette put his head on Shu's shoulder to sleep on, like a pillow.

  ...It feels nice.
