Daigo gazed at the stretching lake before him, the sun setting down. Yellow mixed with the dark blue, with a touch of pink. Red and gold hues blossomed upon the sky, Daigo's face aglow with orange rays.
Whenever Daigo was stressed or anxious, or simply needed some alone time, this was where he would come- Somewhere tranquil and quiet. The lake near the hospital his brother Ryota was in was the perfect place, with the rhythmic waves to carry Daigo away to his own world.
A cool breeze brushed against Daigo's cheeks as he watched the sun dip down into the sea, a sign that night was falling. He wondered if the stars would be bright.
The black-haired male smiled as he saw a fish jump out of the water and back into the lake. It reminded Daigo of Valt's special launch in his fight against Lui.
Daigo let out a sigh as he placed his hand in the lake, feeling the cold water against his palm.
To him, it was like letting go of negative feelings and bad memories to the lake, letting it get washed away to wherever the water wishes it to go.
The sun finally sank all the way and the sky was a deep, dark blue, scattered with glowing stars.
A small smile emerged on Daigo's face.
The air was fresh, the sky was glittering and the water washing away Daigo's negativity.
What a beautiful moment of peace.
