Boa usually celebrated his birthday alone.
It was normal, and not something surprising or unusual to Boa, though disappointing. He had gotten used to it anyway, and now his birthday was just another day.
He guessed that was part of the reason he joined the Snake Pit. After all, it would be human nature to want to escape from the cruel reality. Boa never felt comfortable around his relatives, let alone like them.
He was definitely nervous when he first joined the Snake Pit- he had no idea how they would treat him. He had no idea how they would do anything to him.
Paranoia seemed to pile up in Boa whenever he's around new people, something that he himself can't explain.
But the Snake Pit was different. They welcomed him with open arms, treated him well, so well. Boa didn't even mind that he was put to endless training, which to him was nothing compared to the lost compliments and love he got. He wanted want he had never gotten.
Boa supposed the 'love' he had been given his whole life was like a drug- and a strong one at that. Even just a little bit would make him go crazy, do anything for some more of it.
Which was why he felt so ecstatic and when people realised it was his birthday and wished him a happy birthday. That was the first time people had wished him a happy birthday, and that had now become a large reason for his motivation in blading.
In his euphoric state, Boa would get through every battle flawlessly, even managing to launch the way his idol Red Eye did.
Bladers all claim that the Snake Pit was evil and mysterious.
Mysterious, sure, but evil? Boa didn't think so.
See how they treated him as their brother, see how they wished him a happy birthday when no one in his childhood did.
Boa thought the Snake Pit was actually kind- he was lucky to have found people like them. He would know, having been in the Snake Pit for months. He would know if they had a hidden, evil intention.
Or maybe the Snake Pit just masked evilness that well.
