Chapter 11 - Problems.

1 week later*

I woke up to a random number calling me, I had deleted all my contacts so it could be anyone.

I slowly grabbed my phone and answered,

"Hello?" I probably sounded super tired, which I was.

"VEEVEE!!" I heard a squeaky voice call through the phone.

"Hi dee! How have you been?"

"Well, mama wants me to ask you if I can stay with you? She says, 'Papa is being very mean right now, so I should go somewhere safe.' And I was the genius who thought of you!" She said happily.

"Okay dee, one sec" I ran down to Luciano who was in the kitchen.

"CAN MY LITTLE SISTER STAY HERE?" I whisper yelled.

"For how long?"

"For how long dee?" I asked back into the phone.

"Mama says only for 2 weeks, then we will get away" she replied all serious.

"2 weeks?"

Luciano sighed, "fine. But only for 2 weeks it's not totally safe for her to stay here."

"Yes okay,"

I worked out the rest of the pick up and timing and we were on our way to get her.

"So her name is dee, she likes calling me Veevee, and she has a complete attitude, and you're going to have to deal with it, and I can do most of the 'parenting' stuff"  I explained while he listened.

"Ok."

He wasn't exactly happy about this, but I think he was just trying to hide that he was actually super exited.

At least I hope.

"How old is she?" He asked me.

"She's 9 but she acts like she's 15." I smiled at the thought of her.

"Where is she going after this?"

"Well my mother said they're going to steal some of papa's money that she earned but he kept and use it to buy a house."

"Oh."

I was happy mama would finally get away, but I think it's going to be a lot on her shoulders.

We arrived at the place we planned on meeting and I saw dee run out of the car into my arms, with me picking her up.

"VEE VEE I SAW A DEER ON THE ROAD. DID YOU? BECAUSE IF NOT I WIN." She looked like she had just eaten a whole bag of sugar.

"Who's this?" She asked pointing at Luciano.

"Thats Luciano Dee, he's going to be watching you with me okay?"

"Jeez, is he your boyfriend? Because you should snatch him up real quick, he's limited addition if you know what I mean" she nudged my elbow and smirked.

"Yes I'm her boyfriend." He announced getting down to her level.

"YAY GO VEEVEE" she started dancing and continuing to talk to Luciano as I stood up to see mother.

"Hey mama, you should get going dad will come looking." I said hugging her.

"Sí si, take good car of her Val." She got back into the car and drove away.

When I looked back over Dee was in Luciano's hands and he was walked her back to the car, making me smile.

"He's mine now" Dee told me rolled her eyes.
