Chapter 36 - You win.

It was about 2 weeks after the funeral, Val seemed to be back to normal with talking, but she was still sad obviously.

I tried my best to comfort her and she was a bit too appreciative, so that must mean either I suck at it, or I'm just amazing at it.

"Morning" she said as she flopped on top of me.

"Morning love"

Life seemed,

Boring.

Lately, there was nothing going on, nothing sad happening.

Well Val was acting weird, she acted like she was hiding something.

Today was her birthday and she didn't seem to care.

"Happy birthday" I said as I kissed her forehead, she groaned in response before getting up.

"I need to tell you something"

"I assumed so, what is it"

I started getting dressed as well,

"I'm pregnant." She mumbled, but I heard her loud and clear.

"You're what?"

"Pregnant."

She seemed to be sad about it.

Which I don't understand why.

"That's great! Oh my god, that's amazing." I went up to her and hugged her.

"You're not mad...?"

"No...why would I be mad, it's my kid right?"

"Yes of course it is asshole"

"Then why would I be mad?"

"We're just so young and it's an actual baby. A kid, a kid that's going to grow up and will be 13 when I'm just 30." She explained into my chest.

"Yeah, but we can do it"

This was probably the happiest I've ever felt, I was going to have a family with the girl I love.

"How far along are you?"

"1 month" she said and smiled.

I picked her up and held her as I kissed her.

I smiled and we stayed in that position for a while.

"Okay, we have a breakfast to go to"

I planned a birthday breakfast for her, I also had a surprise for her.

"Sir," the waiter nodded at me.

He was eye fucking Valentina while I was right beside her.

"That's my wife your eying up." I said as I glared at him, he immediately started stuttering while bringing us to the table.

"Of course, sorry sir" he placed menu's in front of us while Val ordered pancakes, and I ordered a coffee.

I don't really do breakfast.

"I love you" she randomly blurted out.

"I love you too? What's wrong why did you just randomly say that."

"I dunno, I have a bad feeling about something so I just wanted to say that"

Oh?

"You're safe, I promise" I told her and she nodded.
