"Want to go out with me today evening?" he texted Sanya that morning, before leaving for office.

"Yes!" she texted back.

Sanya's parents were happy to see that their daughter was happy with Mihir. They had full trust that she would choose the right partner for herself, and Sanya didn't disappoint them.

"Remember Sanyu, your feelings for him shouldn't distract you from other things," said her mother.

"I know, Ma," she replied.

Her father indulged in the conversation too. "Don't be naive," he advised.

She listened to both of them patiently before leaving for college.

Mihir meanwhile, was rejoicing, as he had attained ten thousand subscribers on YouTube. It motivated him to work with more zeal, surprising his boss and colleagues. But he was even happier, as Sanya had agreed to go out with him. No one, save Nisha, knew this.

Office time soon ended. Mihir got a ping from Sanya.

"I'm at the Gateway of India. When will you be here?"

"I'm on my way," he texted back.

Nisha watched with glee as he rode away. She was visibly happy that Mihir and Sanya liked each other. She quickly informed Prem and all the others over WhatsApp about the matter.

Everyone, especially Raj, were elated.

Mihir soon reached the Gateway of India.

"Was I too late?" he asked her. She shook her head.

"Anything important, Mihir?" asked Sanya. "Nisha told me that you always disappear at important times."

"Important indeed," he replied, shrugging slightly. "But I won't disappear today."

"What could it be?" thought Sanya, excitedly. She liked him so much, and if he had asked her out to tell her something important, it was something highly personal.

"What is it?"

Mihir stared into her deep, gorgeous eyes. The words were stuck in his throat and were struggling to come out.

"Sanu, I..."

He couldn't finish the sentence.

"Let's walk, and talk?" she suggested. He agreed, and both of them went inside the monument.

Mihir talked about everything, but his feelings. Hesitation prevented him.

Suddenly, a fiery missile shot out of nowhere, and landed a distance away from them.

"BAM!"

"Aah!" screamed Sanya. She clutched Mihir tightly in anguish.

"Don't worry, Sanu," he comforted her. He looked upwards to see a gigantic humanoid robot, which was shooting the missiles. It was flying to and fro, and causing absolute destruction.

"Sanu, you go home," he said. "It's not safe here, and what would I tell your family in case something happens to you?"

"No Mihir. I can't leave you alone!" she said.

"Nothing will happen to me. You trust me, right? Now go!" he said, and ran away.

Sanya left the place quickly.

The robot continued to wreak havoc, but for how long?

"Hero is here!" yelled a civilian. "Look at him!"

Mihir flew up to the robot and landed a big punch on its face. But surprisingly, nothing could harm it!

"Who was the fellow who programmed you to do this?" he thought. "You are too hard!"

He observed the robot carefully.

"I don't know what you are made of," he thought. "The best way to stop you would be this."

He pounced on the robot, and with all his might, brought it to the ground. The robot tried to attack him, but he pinned it to the ground and tampered with the machine, ultimately destroying it.

The civilians thanked him.

"Remember, my people, whenever you face some problem, I will be there to set it right!" he said aloud, and flew away.

A woman who was watching all of this, ran into a dark alley. She entered a hidden passage and reached a secret lab.

"Professor Agnihotri, Hero has destroyed Gala," she whispered.

A sinister old man turned to face the woman. His fair complexion and strangely-sharp canine teeth gave the onlooker a vision of a vampire.

This was Anyaan Agnihotri, a rather brilliant, but fearful scientist.

"I knew that he'd do this, Paraasta," he said. "We must know who Hero is, first."

"You are right, sir," said Paraasta.

"Anyway, what's the matter with those two?"

"Still asleep, sir."

"Good."
