~~~~~
Elsa ran, she ran as fast as she could as if she was being chased by something she had wanted to escape from for years. She was catching her breath like how she had wanted to catch her parents' attention. Her steps progressively getting faster, as if she was a water running through the breeze. Tears flooded her eyes, falling from her eyes, down to her cheeks, then down to the street she had dared not to go back to ever again.
Even though her sister had lived at the so-haunted house, wich she had dared not to call home, she knew the bravest thing she could do was run. She knew she had to do it. Even Anna does.
Even he does.
"Second place?! Are you fucking kidding me right now, young lady?!" Agnarr yelled in frustration, clutching Elsa's report card tightly in his hand. Elsa showed no emotion. All she had to do was wait for him to start hitting her, degrading the shit out of her until he was satisfied, with her mom giving her a disappointed glance as she just stands there and watches her own daughter getting beaten up.
And there was Anna, the only one who defends her. But most times, Elsa tells her to lock herself in her room, to try and protect her from getting involvdd in situations like these.
She was used to it. Heck, she can't even remember the last time her parents told her they loved her! She felt like they never even said it.
"I didn't raise no second-place bitch!" He ripped the papers up, then shoving it in front of her. Elsa bit her lip, trying to conceal the tears threatening to fall from her eyes as she kept her eyes on the ground.
She knew Anna would be silently crying under her blankets, feeling sorry for her.
"Is it really that hard to beat Hiccup?! Huh?! Answer me, you bitch!!" Agnarr gripped onto Elsa's hair, forcing her to look at him as he expects an answer. Elsa closed her eyes, refusing to look at the eyes that she feared her whole life.
Her mother finally spoke, "I really thought you could do better. It's such a shame to call you my child."
Fucking hell.
Elsa clutched her fist, the walls she had built around her shaking, with only her bare hands stopping them from crumbling, breaking all over the place. She knew it was so close.
"It's because of that boy, is it?"
Shit.
Silence surrounded them, the terrifying type of silence. The one where you'd look around wanting just one person in the room to speak up, to save you from the anxiety and unsureness you were feeling. That type.
"I knew it. You're ruining yourself for a boy who's below your level. Do you grasp how fucking pathetic that sounds?" Agnarr asked, furiously.
The first tear fell.
Jack never did anything wrong, yet he was being talked about badly like he was some bad influence, wich he was not. He was the best thing that had happened to her, aside from her sister. He was the love of her life, his family loved her, they acted like they were her real family. They were loving, and accepting. Something her real family was not.
He was her home.
Agnarr let go of his grip on her hair. He looked at her as if she was a burden to him, like he never even wanted her around in the first place.
