(Frosty_Ballad after all the spoilaaaas 🥰)
(Y/N pov)
Confusion, tons of suspicions, eyes getting all lost on only one direction; the shore. That was basically what was supposed to be a nice, fun, relaxing summer vacation at Arendelle resort went. I have been staying here for only three days. Terry and Ivy, the engaged couple from the cottage next door had just left yesterday. We have been very close friends, the three of us. We had the same likes, dislikes, well, most of it.
We also had the same suspicion.
Eveyday, the supposed owner of the resort was never there to welcome guests or to even tour them to their resort. The lady was always at the shore, with her boyfriend. They seemed to be looking for something. Every hour, minute, days passed, it was like an everyday cycle for them. The couple hadn't talked to me, or to anyone at all. The only company they had was each other. They didn't care about anything else, or the fact that they own a freaking resort. They were too busy searching for whatever they wanted to find. Sometimes, the lady would cry, and her boyfriend would hold her, gently. I didn't know what the problem was.
I decided to ignore them, though I should talk to them as I am staying in at their resort, I'd rather not meddle with whatever personal problem they had. Plus, I don't even know if they're interested in human interactions at all. And if they were, I couldn't blame them.
You have stolen my heart, oh yeah~
My phone ringtone snapped me out of my daze. Furrowing my brows a bit, I reached for my phone and answered the call.
"Oh, hey Terry!"
~~~~~
Terry had broken the news to me just a while ago. Ivy had been cheating on him with his co-worker, Ethan. He sounded very devastated and heartbroken. From what I've observed from the last time we saw each other, he really seemed to love Ivy. I know that look. The look when you know someone is madly, deeply inlove. The couple that owned this place also had that look on their face whenever they would steal a single glance or two. And how her boyfriend held her was the same way Terry held Ivy.
"Then, I heard them sing MARRY YOU by Bruno Mars. She knows I hate that song!"
Terry and his good ol' Marry You. I shook my head. I knew I shouldn't laugh, but out of all the songs he could hate he chose that. It's a happy song!
"She told me she only sees me as her dad. HER DAD! WE'RE BOTH NINETEEN!"
I will never know what goes through that girl's mind.
"I'm really sorry, Terry. I hope everything gets better for you. I know how much you loved her." I said to him over the phone, a sad expression was visible from my tone. I heard him sigh.
"All I ever wanted was her.:"
He started sobbing right after. It took me minutes to realize that I was also crying with him.
"What if we never find it, Jack? What are we gonna do?" I anxiously looked at him.
"No.. no.. we're going to find it. There's no way it's gone like that." He told me. His voice was stern and serious.
"What if he just threw it away somewhere? Burned it?" I almost choked out a sob.
"Then we're done. But there's still a possibility that it's still here. Believe me, Els." He said. He placed his hands on both of my shoulders and looked at me. Oh god, how come after all these years, he'd still make feel like a lovestruck schoolgirl? I guess I'll never know.
