Elijah (Sun, Sep 7)
Elisabeth had got herself drunk, so I had to take her back home, not only because I didn't want her to get herself to an even worse state, but to also make sure she was safe because, with the amount of alcohol she drank, I don't think she'd be able to handle things on her own, and lord knows what would happen if I'd have to look away for even just a second...I honestly don't want to imagine.
By the time we arrived back at my house, she'd already fallen asleep. I picked her up and took her directly to my room.
"Well, here's where you'll sleep tonight. I will try to find another place to sleep, so I don't bother you as much", I said, and as I was about to go, I felt a hand grab my arm.
"Where are you going?", Elisabeth said, confusingly. She was probably still drunk, not as much as she was before, but I was certain she was still somewhat drunk.
"I didn't think you'd wake up any time soon, so I decided to give you some space to sleep", which was in fact true. I didn't really want to bother her.
"Please, stay. I don't want to be alone", I turned towards her and sat on the bed. It was dark, so I couldn't exactly see her clearly, but clear enough to say she was smiling at me. "I never told you this before, but, ever since the day you helped me out on Monday, I've realized that...I like you. Way, way more than just a close friend. You're just so perfect and I wouldn't be able to picture myself with anyone else but you", she said. "I want you, so very badly", and she started leaning on me. I immediately stood up.
"Listen, Elisabeth, as much as I'd love to do things with you, now is not the right time. You're drunk, none of this would be done with your actual consent. I'd prefer if we did that some other time, a time where both of us would be sober", and then she once again grabbed my hand.
"At least stay here...please", she said, and I decided to stay there. I was certain she wouldn't actually try to do something without my consent, either drunk or not. That night was pretty chilly, so we had to change into something warmer. I let her wear some of my clothes for that night, and I changed into my pajamas. She curled up on me, and as I expected, she fell asleep pretty quickly, since the alcohol was much and she was exhausted.
The next morning, I woke up at around 8:00 am, having already sensed that Elisabeth wasn't sleeping. I saw her standing outside, at the balcony. I walked up to her to see what she was doing.
"Oh, good morning, Elijah", she said and came closer to me, smiling. "I'm having a pretty bad headache, so I came out here to get some fresh air. Must've been the alcohol...did I do anything weird last night? I don't remember much from after a certain time"
"To be honest? No, you didn't do anything. I immediately brought you home after I noticed you had got drunk. Nothing happened to you that you should worry about", I said, looking at the blue sky. Her words still ran through my head like crazy. 'I like you way more than just a close friend'. I couldn't get those words out of my head, but I couldn't tell her about this incident, either.
"I actually wanted to talk to you about something. When I told you that I like you more than just a close friend last night, I meant it", wait a minute, she remembers?! "The moment I told you these, I was sane enough to be aware of my surroundings, but also not sane enough to keep control of myself", she continued. "I just want you to know, I love you", she ended with those three words. Those three words that made my feelings for her grow even stronger.
"You know, Elisabeth, the truth is, I love you too", I said and smiled at her. And then, I leaned in, and for the very first time, we kissed. It was a kiss full of love, trust, happiness, and an unbreakable bond. Our bond.
